As one of the most popular bands in the world, BTS continues to break new ground. After smashing records in the music industry and turning heads inside the biggest video games, the K-Pop band is now branching out in another unique way.
Following in the footsteps of Travis Scott, BTS will soon have its very own McDonald’s meal. The BTS Meal will only be available for a limited time at set locations. Here’s a full rundown on everything we know.

No matter where you are in the world, there’s a very good chance you’ll be able to get your hands on The BTS Meal. Rather than being limited to a single location, the new deal is set to reach 49 countries in total.
From Malaysia to Greece, the limited-time deal will be making a splash all across the globe. McDonald’s will be launching the promotion at different times for each region though, so be sure to check below for when the meal will be available in your country.
When can you buy The BTS Meal at McDonald’s?
The BTS Meal will first be available on Wednesday, May 26 in select regions. This date kicks off a global rollout with certain countries not receiving the limited-time meal until as late as Friday, June 25.
There’s currently no telling how long the meal will be around in each region. It could be a matter of days, or it could be available for weeks.
You’ll want to get in quick regardless, as McDonald’s has confirmed that The BTS Meal is only a limited-time promotion. So it will eventually disappear forever.

The meal includes a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries and Coke as well as the US debut of two new dipping sauces - sweet chili and cajun flavors - inspired by McDonald's South Korea recipes, the burger chain said.
Partnering with BTS is arguably McDonald's biggest get following the smash successes of its meals with J Balvin and Travis Scott.
The Travis Scott Meal, which included a Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard; medium fries (with BBQ Sauce for dipping); and a Sprite, was accompanied by a popular merchandise line and led to a viral TikTok trend in which customers pulled up to the drive-thru blasting the artist’s hit song “Sicko Mode.” According to USA Today, the Travis Scott Meal contributed to a shortage in key ingredients at McDonald’s due to overwhelming demand.
In April 2019, BTS became only the third group in 50 years to have three number one albums on the Billboard 200 charts in less than 12 months, joining the ranks of The Beatles and The Monkees. Spotify said that last summer it was the first "all-South Korean act to top the US singles chart" with the global hit "Dynamite," which has 815 million streams.
McDonald's bringing its celebrity meal promotion global shows how popular the year-old program is. Similar to its meals with other artists, the BTS Meal includes already existing menu items and two new sauces that are easy to accrue and include.
Fast food chains operate on razor-thin profit margins, so promotions and new items help them stand out from the competition. Quick-serve restaurants are also trying to steer customers to their apps, which boost loyalty and sales. In fact, sales at US restaurants open at least a year rose 5.5% in the three months ending on December 31, partly spurred by these promotions.
Last year, the fast-food chain teased out other famous orders in a Super Bowl commercial that features real-life celebrity orders from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Whoopi Goldberg, Magic Johnson, Keith Urban and more.
BTS is comprised of members J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, V and SUGA.
Bangtan Boys (방탄소년단 Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as BTS, have been breaking chart records and winning over fans worldwide. Their popularity is partly powered by their huge social media presence and socially aware songs. In 2016, BTS were the most-retweeted artist on Twitter and now boast over 8 million followers, 4 million YouTube subscribers and 5 million fans on Facebook. The seven members – Rap Monster, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook – deliver an extremely catchy and polished mix of Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop songs. With a massive following established across Asia, 2017 has already been quite an eventful year for BTS with the release of their fourth studio album, You Will Never Walk Alone. The album has conquered multiple charts around the world and allowed the boys to bag their first Billboard Award for Top Social Artist in May, ending Justin Bieber’s six-year winning streak (take that Biebs!). With their latest mini album, Love Yourself: 承 ‘Her’ and its title track “DNA”, BTS are now spending an impressive second week on the Billboard World Albums chart, Hot 100 chart, Streaming Song charts and UK radio stations are starting to take note. |
