Alex Pina’s brand new Netflix Original series Sky Rojo has just released in full on Netflix and will be returning for a second season. Here’s what we can expect going into season 2 and when it could be releasing.

When Netflix has commissioned the series, the streaming platform also ordered for the second season last year. It is not exponentially rare for the streaming giant to commission several seasons beforehand. The same happened with Ratched as the makers and people at Netflix want the fans to conclude.
The series was released on Netflix a few days ago, so it is currently hard to tell how the first season has performed. In the Spanish-speaking regions, the show did manage to make an incredible impression, but in the other areas, it is still gaining momentum at the time of time.
At the time of writing, the series has reached the number-1 spot in Spain. Moreover, both Money Heist and Sky Rojo share the same creator, so that people might turn to the series sooner or later due to the cult following Money Heist. A day after its release, Sky Rojo became the sixth most-popular series globally, so there is hope that the series will become mainstream.
Martinez Lobato revealed that they knowingly set the far very low for Sky Rojo. Lobato continues: the series packs adult content more; hence this provides the avenue that the series will not find a place among the young audience. In the beginning, people associated with the series also have moderate expectations due to their previous groundbreaking work that brought them to the map and reached a global audience, Oracleglobe listed.

Assuming that Sky Rojo season 2 has already been filmed, new episodes could release on Netflix by the end of 2021. However, the streaming service may choose to stick with its traditional one-season-per-year model, which means that a second installment would debut in 2022. We'll predict that Sky Rojo season 2 will premiere in March 2022, but don't be surprised if Netflix prioritizes a late-2021 release if the series becomes just as popular as Money Heist or Elite, Screenrant noted.

At the end of season 1, Coral is seen trying to save Romeo’s life after he appears to have a cardiac arrest after nearly getting a sword through his head. Of course, the main reason she’s there is to escape with the passports and money from the safe which is preventing their freedom.
Miguel Ángel Silvestre, who plays Moses is in a bit of a predicament. After the plan successfully lures him into the pit dug out by the digger, he’s now stuck in his car (last scene with his shirt over his face likely to help with breathing) and buried in the construction lot. His return will more than likely depend on whether his brother, Christian can come and dig him out.
