Angie Han of The Hollywood Reporter (opens in new tab) claims that the product lives up to all of its promotional claims. It doesn't always live up to the expectations on its box, but it doesn't have to."
Seattle Times (new tab opens) Soren Anderson: "A truly delightful movie that will have everyone laughing aloud from beginning to end. There are lots of ho hos in this one."
Republic of Arizona's Bill Goodykoontz(opens in new tab): "To say that Violent Night isn't for everyone would be overstating things." But if you're looking for a sharp contrast to the treacle overload of Hallmark Christmas films, it's a delightful holiday treat."

So how is it possible that this incredible operation MISSED one child? Arthur, Santa's little son, thinks it might end the magic of Christmas. With retired Grandsanta, a young elf who is disobedient, an old sleigh, and some inexperienced reindeer as his companions, Arthur sets out on a crazy mission to deliver the last gift! In this brand-new Christmas classic, deck the halls with wonder, excitement, and joy!
Arthur Christmas was Aardman Animations' only other computer-animated movie. It was also the first product of the group's short-lived collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation. Arthur Christmas failed to capture the attention of audiences and was only a modest box office success despite possessing such notable qualities. Its financial shortcomings were especially evident when compared to all other family films that were released at the same time. However, this does not prove that the project is inherently defective. Arthur Christmas is the kind of Yuletide feature that should be a yearly ritual of holiday viewing.

Does Santa appear in How the Grinch Stole Christmas? Is he real?
The bearded, scrawny Grinch thought he could trick people into believing him if he dressed up as Santa Claus, which is hilarious, but Cindy Lou Who thought he was Santa Claus proved he was a genius. The only indication we had prior to the conclusion that he might not be wholly evil was when, after lying to her about needing to take everything to the North Pole in order to fix a single Christmas light, he got her a drink and then sent her to bed with a soft pat on the head. None too remarkable, but still not what you'd call a "Santa."
How lovable How the Grinch Stole Christmas‘ main character?
He isn't. Don't even attempt to refute this. Is Darth Vader a "lovable" character? Even though you may adore him as a character, he is unloveable since he turns on the Emperor to end three evil films. The Grinch is the same way. The reason he's a legendary character is that he lacks loveability.
