Television’s favorite alcoholic grandpa and grandson are back in action. Rick and Morty has enjoyed five fantastic seasons, but it has left us with a few unsolved concerns heading into season six. The newest Rick and Morty chapter is one worth watching, with co-creator Justin Roiland predicting that season 6 will be spectacular.
Rick and Morty season 6 debuted Sunday, September 4 at 11 p.m. ET.
How many episodes are in Rick and Morty season 6?
Despite the first season packing in 11 episodes, the other seasons of Rick and Morty have all featured 10 episodes, and season 6 is likely to be no different.
However, co-creator Dan Harmon discussed the idea of longer seasons during the interview with EW that suggests there could be a little more than that on the way in the future eventually.
“I would like to think I’ve learned enough from my mistakes in season three that we could definitely do 14 now, but then I have to say, ‘Yeah but you’re the guy who says we can do 14 who turned out to be wrong so we’re not listening to you now’,” Harmon remarked.
“The nice healthy way to approach this is I want to prove it with the first 10 of season four – prove it to ourselves, to production, to the network – that it’s so easy that we’ll earn additional episodes.”
Whilst neither season 4 nor 5 broke the 10-episode barrier, there is still hope that season 6 could pull off the trick.
As has always been the case with Rick and Morty the episodes won't be dropping all at once, and instead will air individually across the coming weeks.

As always, Rick and Morty Season 6 is airing on Adult Swim — the after-hours version of Cartoon Network. Unlike most modern hit TV shows, Rick and Morty Season 6 will not be available to stream next-day on any platform. Instead, episodes will air each Sunday at 11 p.m. ET/PT. If you want to watch episodes after they’ve aired, you’ll need to set your DVR to record each episode.

Is there any other way to watch Rick and Morty season 6?
For any cord-cutting Rick and Morty fans in need of a live TV streaming service, Sling is the best place to watch Adult Swim live online. Both of Sling’s basic packages — Sling Orange and Sling Blue — include Adult Swim (Cartoon Network), making either package a great way to watch Rick and Morty Season 6 online.

We don’t know yet! But the trailer gave us a few hints, including a “Die Hard” riff and a return to the arcade Chips and Blips – possibly even the video game “Roy.”

The whole main cast should return for season six, with Justin Roiland voicing both Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith and Chris Parnell taking on the role of Morty’s father, Jerry. Spencer Grammer will be back as Morty’s sister Summer and, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without Sarah Chalke voicing Rick’s daughter, Beth.
What is the plot of Rick and Morty season 6?
It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss season of your favorite show.
Will there be a seventh season of Rick and Morty?
There will! Back in 2018 Adult Swim ordered 70 more episodes of the series, which would take the series total up to 101.
Once all 10 episodes in season 6 have aired this will leave 40 more in the show's current deal. If the show sticks to its current 10 episodes per season model, that will mean the show's future is secure until at least a 10th season.
