Vin Diesel’s 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, will appear in “Fast & Furious 9” as the younger version of Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto.

Who is Vincent Sinclair?

Vin Diesel's son, Vincent Sinclair, was the second child the actor had with Paloma Jimenez, and according to PopSugar, his name was inspired by the actor's stage name. On one of the rare occasions the Bloodshot star opened up about his family, he told Mom.com in July 2014 how his son and daughter helped him choose to play Groot in The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, said Nick Swift.

That first Guardians film ended up being the first one that little Vincent was able to see in a movie theater. Diesel told the publication an adorable story about his son sang along as "Hooked on a Feeling" played. "[I]t's the first time he's ever gone to a movie, that we've ever gone to a movie together," Diesel told Mom.com. "Obviously, he can't see Riddick or any of those other movies."

Vin Diesel is an American actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. He came to prominence in the late 1990s, and first became known for appearing in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan in 1998. He is most known for his portrayals of Riddick in The Chronicles of Riddick trilogy (2001–2013), and of Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious film series (2001–present), two franchises in which he also acted as producer. He also starred in xXx (2002) and Sidney Lumet's Find Me Guilty (2006).

His voice acting work includes Brad Bird's The Iron Giant (1999), the video games of The Chronicles of Riddick franchise, and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation of the Marvel comics of the same name. As a filmmaker, Diesel directed, wrote, produced and starred in the drama film Strays, as well as in two short films. He is also the founder of the production companies One Race Films, Racetrack Records, and Tigon Studios.

You probably assumed Vin Diesel's real name wasn't Vin Diesel, right? That would be a little too badass. Turns out his real name is Mark Sinclair, which is still pretty badass. The name change occurred when he was working at New York's famous Chelsea nightclub, The Tunnel. So, if you were an asshole at The Tunnel, you might've gotten kicked out by a young Xander Cage, noted Thrillist.

According to TMZ, the actor's 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, will make his movie debut in F9 as the younger version of his dad's beloved character, Dominic Toretto. He filmed his scenes back in 2019 and reportedly received a daily rate of $1,005. Entertainment Weekly also confirmed his casting, according to People.

The younger Dominic was last played by Alex McGee during a flashback scene in 2015's Furious 7.

Diesel, 53, shares Vincent with his longtime model girlfriend Paloma Jimenez. The pair are also parents to daughters Hania Riley 12, and Pauline, 6.

Diesel reprises his role as Dominic in F9, the sequel to 2017's The Fate of the Furious and the ninth installment in the iconic film franchise. Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and John Cena will also star.

About the upcoming "Fast and Furious 9"

“Fast and Furious 9” started filming in June 2019 at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England and wrapped in Nov. 2019. While the blockbuster was initially scheduled for last summer, Universal bumped back the release date — first to April 2, 2021, then to May 28 and most recently to June 25 — due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With a $200 million budget, the studio intends on releasing “F9” in theaters, Variety reported.

Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth “Fast and Furious” films, will return to direct the final two installments of the franchise. While this means that the core storyline following Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his family will come to an end, spinoff movies based on supporting characters are currently in development at Universal.

“Fast & Furious 9″ picks up after the events of the franchise’s eighth installment, “The Fate of the Furious,” which released back in 2017. In this new chapter, Dom Toretto will face his younger brother Jakob (John Cena), a deadly assassin working with old foe Cipher (Charlize Theron), and who holds a personal vendetta against Dominic. The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and Helen Mirren. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 25.
