Kai Havertz’s Biography
His full name is Kai Lukas Havertz but commonly known as Kai Havertz. The talented young star was born in Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia on 11 June 1999. His birth name is Kai Lukas Havertz.
He was raised in a middle-class household in Aachen a city that is considered the 28th largest city in Germany. Kai Havertz is the last born of three. His brother Jan is the eldest child in the family followed by his only sister Leah.
He is a German professional footballer. He plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for the Germany national football team and the greatest English professional football club or Premier League club Chelsea FC. This German winger made his professional career for the German professional football club Bayer Leverkusen on 15 October 2016 against Werder Bremen as a substitute for Charles Aranguiz. In addition, he made his international debut for the Germany national team.
Havertz was first called up by the German greatest football coach Joachim Low on 29 August 2018 to play for the Germany national team. He made his international debut for the Germany national football team on 9 September 2018 against Peru national team as a substitute for teammate Timo Werner.

According to Chelsea website Havertz is the second for goals scored among the under 21 year's old players in the past five years, with 35, behind only Kylian Mbappe. Havertz joined Lverkusen's impressive youth academy at the age of 11. He took the most out of the opportunity to train at Kurtekotten, which is one of the best youth training centers in Germany.
Havertz was promoted into Leverkusen's Under-17 team when he reached 15. He was key member of the team which won the national youth title and ended a 25-year drought.
Havertz was also very successful youth with Germany youth teams. He won the 2016 Fritz Walter silver Medal, and the 2018 Fritz Walter Gold Medal.
In 2015, Havertz was called up to Bayern Leverkusen senior side, which marked the start of his professional career at the age of 16.
During the early years of his career, Kai Havertz's idol was Real Madrid and Germany National team star midfielder, Toni Kroos. Havertz was full of praise for his idol in an interview during his time at Leverkusen.
"Toni Kroos is a great player, I model myself on him a lot. His journey has been great. I have a lot of respect for him. His passing ability and his combination play is on another level. In Germany training, every pass from him is perfect. It doesn't matter how they give it to him."
Havertz professional career started when he was promoted to Leverkusen's first team in 2016. He made his debut in a 2-1 loss to Werder Bremen in October of the same year. Aged 17 years and 126 days, he became Leverkusen's youngest ever debutant.
Four months later, he recorded his first assist in what was the 50,000th goal scored in the history of Bundesliga. In less than a weak he played his first Champions League start in the first leg of a round of 16 loss to Atletico Madrid. He was ruled out of the return leg bizarrely because the time of the match clashed with his examinations at high school.
According to Bundesliga Website he was left out of Leverkusen’s last 16 trip to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League due to his studies, and later sat out a league game against Schalke to concentrate on his final exams.
"There was a time we were playing in the DFB Cup against Lotte - it went to extra-time and then I was up first thing for English classes. Other times I’d be training in the morning and then going to school for one-on-one classes in the afternoon. It had its challenges, but I passed my exams. I think it did me good. I was brought up with my feet on the ground, anyway. I think I’m a normal guy."
Havertz record breaking career start continued as he became Leverkusen's youngest-ever goal scorer in the Bundesliga, at the age of 17 when he scored against Wolfsburg.
In the 2018-19 season Havertz broke many domestic records. Some of the most important ones are: Leverkusen's youngest-ever penalty scorer, youngest player since Stuttgart's own Horst Koppel in 1967–68 to score 13 goals in a single league season and the highest scoring teenager in a single Bundesliga campaign with 17 goals.
Havertz magical campaign was rewarded at the end of the season when he was voted as the runner-up behind Marco Reus at the German Footballer of the Year award.
The German sensation continued to impress in the following season and broke some other records, the most important of them was Timo Werner's record for Youngest ever player to reach one hundred games at Bundesliga. He also scored against Porto and Inter Milan in the UEFA Europa league.

With Chelsea
Havertz was a target for many big clubs during the 2020 summer transfer window, most important of those were including Barcelona and Manchester United. After much speculation about his future destination, He decided to join Chelsea. He scored his first hat-trick for the blues in the FA Cup game against Burnley.
On 4 September 2020, Havertz signed a five-year contract with Premier League club Chelsea. The transfer fee was reported to be worth an initial £62 million, which could rise to £71 million with add-ons, making him Chelsea's second-most expensive signing after Kepa Arrizabalaga.
On 14 September, he made his debut with Chelsea in the league opener against Brighton & Hove Albion, which ended in a 3–1 away win. On 23 September, Havertz scored his first career hat-trick and his first Chelsea goals in a 6–0 home win over Barnsley in the third round of the EFL Cup.
Havertz scored his first-ever Premier League goal against Southampton on 17 October, in a 3–3 draw at home. On 4 November 2020, it was revealed that Havertz had tested positive for COVID-19. He recovered two weeks later, but has found it difficult to regain his place in Chelsea's starting line-up.
As of February 2021, Havertz has played 26 games for Chelsea in his debut season. He has registered 5 goals and 6 assists in those games.
With Germany youth and senior national teams
On the International level, Kai Havertz was first called up to the senior team in 2018 and made his debut against Peru in September 2018. Havertz has played 10 international games and has scored 2 goals for Germany.
He scored his most important goal for Germany in a 3-3 draw against Switzerland at 2020–21 UEFA Nations League Group A. his first goal came in a friendly against Argentina in a 2-2 Draw back in October 2019. He once talked in an interview about his objectives with Germany national team.
"I'll be 21 at Euro 2020 - I think that's a reasonable ambition to have and I'll do everything to play my way into contention. I’m pretty relaxed about it, but it’s at the back of my mind and it’s something I want after seeing some of my friends play at the World Cup."
