The AI in Palm Royale appears to have been fed a decade of gay men's tweets and asked to produce a free TV show. The Apple TV+ series stars Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Carol Burnett, Alison Janney, Kaia Gerber, and Ricky Martin as Maxine (Wiig), a 60s ambitious woman who tries to break into Miami high society's boujee, elite Palm Royale beach club. But treachery breeds drama, and the vibrant snapshot trailer suggests that infiltrating the fancy set may not be the real battle.

With this adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have stepped away from the basic tools of Westeros and into the science fiction fraternity. It centers on an astrophysicist who is conscripted by the military and sent to a covert radar base in a remote part of the nation after witnessing her father's brutal murder during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The television show centers on Rocco and Lucia, a made-up woman who synthesizes the majority of the women Rocco has ever dated.
