TV Premiere Dates in February 2024: Full List and Highlights for Movies & Shows
TV Premiere Dates in February 2024: Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga in Shogun |
The premieres of several well-known shows are scheduled for February 2024, though not much else has been revealed for the second month of the year. Among these is the premiere of Genius: MLK/X on the National Geographic Channel, the fourth episode of the network's biographical drama series. The popular streaming service has welcomed back Life & Beth, an original series starring Amy Schumer, for a second season.

'The Madame Blanc Mysteries' Season 3
Steve Edge as Dom Hayes, Roma Malik as Jane, Elaine O'Dwyer as Marie, and Sally Lindsay as Jean White in The Madame Blanc Mysteries Season 3 Mark Cassar/AcornTV |
The wait is almost over for fans of Madame Blanc, as Acorn TV has officially announced that the program will return in February 2024. Where the Christmas Special left off (with the decidedly un-holiday title of "Ocean"), Season 3 proper will pick up right there. Between her antiquing excursions, Jean White returns to her small French town as a detective, with her small network of local friends supporting her in her efforts to solve the strange killings that occur there.
Similar to Season 2, Season 3 consists of six episodes, but since Episode 1 debuted on Christmas, there are currently only five episodes remaining. Additionally, Acorn TV will persist in its practice of launching new seasons with a double-episode debut. (Yes, even for a show like Madame Blanc, where Episode 2 serves as the "season premiere"!) Hence, fans will receive a double dose of Madame Blanc mysteries at first, enabling them to relive the first celebration. That does, regrettably, imply that there will only be three more weeks of episodes.
'The Woman In The Wall'
Sorry to everyone waiting on A Gentleman in Moscow, The Burning Girls, The Doll Factory, and The Serial Killer's Wife—nearly everything British Paramount+ approved in 2022 to bring to the American streamer is about to end up somewhere else. Though I could go on forever, you get the idea. Despite Paramount's best efforts, let's be grateful for what we have, which includes the Ruth Wilson six-part series The Woman in the Wall, which is actually due to Showtime and still worth watching occasionally. This mystery series received great reviews in 2023 and was based on the horrifying Magdalene Laundries practices in Ireland, which were only discovered in the 1990s.
Beginning on Friday, January 19, and continuing every Sunday, January 21, on Showtime, The Woman in the Wall will be available for streaming on Paramount + and on a weekly basis until the end of February 2024.
'Three Little Birds'
One of the most anticipated streaming services for 2024 is BritBox. Not to mention the new titles coming out, there are new seasons of Sister Boniface, Father Brown, Beyond Paradise, Death in Paradise, Vera, Grace, Karen Pirie, Sherwood, The Bay, The Responder, Time, and The Tower. But out of all the new shows, the one I'm most excited about is Sir Lenny Henry's debut series, Three Little Birds, which is based on his mother's experience traveling to the United Kingdom as a member of the Windrush Generation. A cast of up-and-coming talent leads the six-part series, which tells one of the little-known tales of British history.
BritBox will release Three Little Birds in two installments. The first three episodes will premiere on Thursday, February 1, and the second set of three episodes will premiere on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 will premiere on HBO and Max on February 4 and end with a series finale on April 7.
Larry David, creator and star of the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning comedy series, plays an exaggerated version of himself, demonstrating that his comic genius is on full display both behind and in front of the camera.
"As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this 'Larry David' persona and become the person God intended me to be — the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character," the actor said in a statement. "So, 'Larry David,' I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be forgotten. And if you want to contact me, you can do so at Doctors Without Borders."
Shogun, FX
Shogun, FX's original adaptation of James Clavell's best-selling novel, will premiere on Hulu and FX on February 27, 2024. Set in feudal Japan in 1600, the epic saga follows Lord Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada) as he fights for his life against the Council of Regents with the assistance of an English pilot, John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis). Toranaga and Blackthorne's fates are inextricably linked to their translator, Toda Mariko (Anna Sawai), a mysterious Christian noblewoman and the last of a disgraced lineage.
The 10-episode limited series stars an acclaimed Japanese cast. Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks are showrunners and executive producers, alongside Michaela Clavell, Edward L. McDonnell, and Michael De Luca.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Prime Video's new series, will premiere on February 2, 2024. The eight-episode series, a reimagining of the 2005 film, follows two lonely strangers as they tackle high-risk spy missions while navigating their new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John (Donald Glover) and Jane Smith (Maya Erskine). Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they develop genuine feelings for each other. Glover and Francesca Sloane serve as co-creators and executive producers. All eight episodes will be exclusively available on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories around the world.
