UBG Mobile India - Release Date
As lakhs of Indians are waiting for the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is seen as another version of PUBG Mobile India, the release date of the upcoming game been leaked once again.
Battlegrounds Mobile India has been a hype train for PUBG fans in India since the game was announced by Krafton earlier this month. The popular battle royale game went up for pre-registration in India on May 18 for Android devices and is set to launch soon in the country.
Krafton has not revealed a lot about the game and the similarities to the PUBG Mobile game that was under development for months since the ban on the original game in India. According to a new report, Krafton is expected to announce the Battlegrounds Mobile India launch date very soon.
Abhijeet Andhare, who is known among the gamers as Ghatak, has tweeted that the release of Battlegrounds Mobile India will happen in the third week of next month. He added that Krafton is planning to launch the game between June 13 to June 19. Ghatak is the coach for Team Solomid and owns a YouTube channel where he promotes esports.
A PUBG Mobile India remake
Name change aside, Battlegrounds Mobile India does look like a rename of the PUBG Mobile India game that was being developed by Krafton for months. A major cue pointing to this is the fact that Battlegrounds Mobile India’s Play Store page URL includes the words PUBG Mobile. However, Krafton it appears is not too keen on the PUBG being used for the new game and wants to avoid the link, in order to make sure the new game doesn’t get banned.
The name has changed and Krafton has requested fans to not refer to it as PUBG fearing another ban. But the game itself might not be very different from the original one. The biggest clue to this was the teaser launched this week of the new game map resembling the default PUBG Mobile map. The only difference – it was named ERANGLE instead of Erangel.
All the game’s teasers have so far depicted signature PUBG elements like the Level-3 helmet, the parachute, the game’s blue energy drinks, and even the bullet-deflecting pan.

Pre-registration promotion package on Google Play Store
Battlegrounds Mobile India is currently available for pre-registration on Google PlayStore. It is to be noted that PUBG Mobile India was banned on September 4, 2020, by the Indian government over data privacy concerns. Krafton, the game developers, took almost a year to relaunch the game and it seems that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be launched in the coming days.
Whoever pre-registers for the game will get rewards including the Recon Mask, the Recon Outfit, Celebration Expert Title, and 300 AG. To pre-register, head to Google Play store, search for Battlegrounds Mobile India, and click on the pre-register option and get rewards at the launch.
No pre-registration for iOS users
While pre-registration for the game went up on Android devices, iOS users were, until recently, left with no clue on the game coming to Apple’s operating system. However, new reports have suggested that Battlegrounds Mobile India is also being developed for iOS devices, although these users may not have a pre-registration process and will be able to directly download the game when it is launched.
Another issue that Battlegrounds Mobile India players are waiting for to be answered is whether PUBG Mobile Global players will be able to keep their data including unlocked skins, rewards, and purchased in-game content on the new game. While a data transfer between Krafton and Tencent may have been possible, the movie is unlikely considering Krafton is taking all measures to make sure Battlegrounds Mobile India is treated as a separate game and not a PUBG Mobile derivative. A data transfer between the games could negate all of Krafton’s efforts including the new name of the game and the renamed maps.

Restriction for those under 18 years old
The company has announced a set of restrictions for those under 18 years of age. As per the privacy page on the Battlegrounds Mobile India website, users below 18 years of age will need parental consent before playing the game. Prior to its release, Indian ministers have asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put a ban on the Battlegrounds Mobile India release, aka PUBG Mobile India, citing a threat to the security and privacy of Indians.
Unlike the previous website, the new one provides players with a number of details surrounding the game, including the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Players under 18 years of age will also not be able to play the battle royale game for more than 3 hours a day. The in-game spending restriction for such players has been set to INR 7,000, according to Sportskeeda.
Battlegrounds Mobile India’s privacy policy regarding underage players reads:
“If you are under 18 years of age, you will be asked to provide the mobile phone number of your parent or guardian to confirm that you are legally eligible to play the game. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child with under 18 years of age has provided us with personal information without your consent, you can contact us and request your child’s information to be deleted from our system.”
