When and Where does PS5 Restock?

Another day, another PS5 restock. There have been rumblings online about PS5 stock arriving at Target today (March 8 2021), so prepare yourself for the console rat-race once again. Well, maybe - word is that Target will get them sometime between now and Thursday. Initial reports suggested a drop early Monday morning, but that never came to pass. This means you've still got a chance of securing PS5 stock before the weekend, games radar reported.

This week is off to a flying start when it comes to PS5 restock deals, to be honest; Amazon UK got stock earlier today, Game had Xbox Series X deals too, and UK merchant Currys is offering a priority pass for PS5 stock at the moment. Unfortunately, it's impossible to be more specific about a PS5 restock at the time of writing. Nobody knows when PS5 stock will turn up, so the best you can do is sign in to stores like Target ahead of time with your payment details ready to go. That way you can avoid any hold-ups if the site crashes, slows down, or freezes. Target stock availability is regional mind, so don't give up even if you see people tweeting that's it's gone, it might not be the case for you.

PS5 Target restock supply is limited

Unfortunately, reports indicate that the Target PS5 restock event will be limited. In addition, it looks as though more PS5 Disc Editions will be available in certain locations and less Digital Editions. Regardless, you'll have to act lightning fast to secure a console and purchase it.

Create a Target account: Increase your chances

One thing you can do now to save time is to create a Target.com account (if you don't already have one). Have your address, credit card info, and other details ready to go, so if you happen to get a PS5 console in your cart, you can rapidly check out and confirm your purchase. If consoles are in-store-only, you'll still be able to use your Target account for other restock events.

Two things to keep in mind: It could be this morning, and we'll be awake to sound the alarm via Twitter as soon as orders go live. Or it could be another day this week. Target loves to surprise us with early morning consoles drops, but employees aren't always aware of when they happen. They just know when inventory peaks.

Notable streamer Cameron Ritz, or Killercam1020 on Twitch, suggests that it could be as late as Thursday. "One of the people who I’ve talked to about Target said that they typically go live 1.5 weeks after stores start seeing inventory," Ritz divulged. "I believe that was Monday this past week when they started getting inventory. Unless there’s some kinda delay my guess is Thursday."

PS5 has been nearly impossible to find in stock for more than a few minutes every time stores restock the Sony console. We're finding the same can be said about the Xbox Series X. Both Sony and Microsoft launches their respective consoles in November 2020 and haven't been able to manufacturer enough to meet demand.

Stores like Target, Walmart and Best Buy routinely add new stock to their stores and the crush of people coming to their sites often crashes the pages. Four months after the initial launches, it's still a burden to buy a next-gen console, even after months of customers constantly trying their luck.
