The series is now back for a proper second season after a special four-episode run on holiday meals in 2021. The advantage of this show lies in its celebration of the cultures that have contributed to the development of American cuisine; it is much more than just a chance to watch Lakshmi consume food while you watch in utter jealousy. Season 2 of Lakshmi's show features dishes from Puerto Rico, the Appalachians, the Philippines, and more. This type of program looks at how food unites us all while also examining how it has been used as a weapon against the people who brought it here in the first place. by Allison Picurro.

The Great Season 3 (May 12)
