How to Make Gigi Hadid Pasta In New Style & Top 10 Pasta Recipes
How to make Gigi Hadid's Instagram pasta? |
What is Gigi Hadid Pasta? Simple… Pasta made by Gigi Hadid, which broke the internet when it went viral on Instagram and TikTok.
If you look closely, it’s the same delicious creamy and cheesy pasta Alla Vodka, with a slight makeover – it gets pleasantly spiked with heat from red chili flakes.
How does this dish start? In a thinly-veiled attempt to deflect from the surprising news she is pregnant with her first child, Gigi Hadid posted an Instagram Story of herself cooking Spicy Vodka Pasta.
Hadid’s first Instagram Story in today’s series, however, has a caption explaining that the 25-year-old model doesn’t have any vodka so she’ll go without it. Is this a possible clue that perhaps she is indeed pregnant and unable to drink alcohol? Or have the Hadids actually just run out of the good stuff?

In fact, it originated in Italy and is more commonly known as Spicy Vodka Pasta. It’s a creamy tomato-based sauce that starts off with cooking down some onions and garlic. Then tomato paste is caramelized in olive oil and heavy cream is added to turn it into a beautifully smooth sauce. And if that didn’t sound good enough, the final touches are butter, tons of freshly grated parmesan, and some pasta water. Red pepper flakes spice it up while the basil brings a fresh herbal touch to the whole dish. It’s truly perfection and my new favorite pasta dish to make. |
How to Make the Gigi Hadid Pasta?
Recipe 1: With Vodka
Ingredients:
¼ cup olive oil
1 small clove of garlic, diced
¼ green onion
¼ cup tomato paste
½ cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon vodka
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
225 grams of shells pasta
1 tablespoon butter
¼ cup parmesan cheese
Basil, chopped, to serve
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil, garlic and onion. Cook until soft. Add tomato paste and cook until it appears “darker [in colour] / a bit caramelised”, says Hadid.
Add in the heavy cream. Add in the vodka and cook through until evaporated.
Add in the red pepper flakes. [There is a special note from the chef here to add in more flakes if you like your pasta extra spicy].
Keep stirring until combined. Season with salt and pepper. Remove sauce from the heat.
Cook pasta separately. The chef uses shells but Orecchiette would also work well. When the pasta is done, save ¼ of the pasta water before draining.
Add in the butter. Stir over medium heat til the butter has melted and the sauce is “sauccyyyy”, says Hadid.
Add pasta – and the pasta water – to the sauce. Add parmesan cheese and stir. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
Top with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and basil to serve.
Recipe 2: Without Vodka
Ingredients:
penne pasta or spaghetti noodles
olive oil
onion
garlic cloves
tomato paste
heavy cream or half and half
crushed red pepper
pasta water
butter
parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Add in your drained pasta and mix in with the sauce. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
