Facebook reach an amazing deal that allows it to broadcast all the La Liga matches LIVE on the app, since 2018-2019 La Liga season to Broadcast all 380 football matches for FREE. However, this is only limited to the Indian subcontinent. Places like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going to be able to view the matches.
However, Sad News: La Liga returns to traditional TV in India as Facebook deal ends.
While in the 2020-21 season, LaLiga was streamed in India by Facebook and was not available on TV, that will not be the case in the 2021-22 season.
La Liga will return to more traditional mediums to showcase Spanish soccer's top flight in the Indian subcontinent, three years after it linked up with Facebook to broadcast matches free of charge on the social network.
No La Liga on Facebook Live, How to Watch Now?
The league will be broadcast in the subcontinent on Viacom18 network's youth television channel MTV and some national and regional channels. La Liga matches will also be live-streamed on Voot and Jio platforms as part of the three-year deal.
LaLiga has signed a broadcast deal with Viacom18’s flagship youth brand MTV teamed for the next 3 years. Enabled and supported by Rise Worldwide, LaLiga football tournament will now air exclusively on MTV in India, along with select national and regional network channels and live-streamed on Voot & Jio platforms.
Consumption and following of football in India have consistently increased over the past decade, especially amongst the youth.
Currently in its 91st season, LaLiga is one of the most followed football leagues across the world and is home to Europe’s finest talent and football clubs including Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, amongst others.
La Liga will commence on 13th August 2021.
All LaLiga matches may be streamed online on Voot/Jio TV. Not all matches might be streamed on MTV and it will updated as when we have more information and clarity. The regional channels in addition to MTV will be communicated in due course.
