President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is set to be a lavish event, with reportedly $150 million raised in donations. This is a significant addition to the $50 million PAC cash. Several big firms, including Amazon, Ford, Intuit, Meta, and Toyota, and billionaires have donated large sums for the event. CEOs of OpenAI, Apple and Amazon have reportedly signed big checks.

According to Axios, Apple CEO Time Cook 'believes the inauguration is a great American tradition, and is donating to the inauguration in the spirit of unity.’

Sam Altman of OpenAI is planning to make a personal commitment of $1 million to Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Committee, Quartz reported.

The next big company is Amazon. The Jeff Bezos-led firm is making a $2 million donation to the inaugural fund - half of it to the fund directly and rest by streaming the January 20 event on Amazon Video.

Others making donations for Donald Trump's inauguration are: Mark Zuckerberg (Meta), Uber and its CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Robinhood Markets, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs, Ripple, and Perplexity.

According to filings with the Federal Election Commission, Biden’s PIC 2021, Inc. raised a total of $61.8 million, with its largest donations coming from a handful of companies that donated $1 million, including Pfizer (PFE) and Qualcomm (QCOM).

Trump’s first committee, the 58th Presidential Inauguration Committee, took home $106.8 million from donors, including many that also donated to Biden, such as Boeing (BA) and Lockheed Martin (LMT).
