Even during the busy festival season, you can make sure that your financial needs are met without any problems if you stay informed and plan ahead.
In India, there are many banking holidays all through the year. There are national holidays, state festivals, and important observances among these holidays.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sets bank holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, RTGS holidays, and holidays when banks close their accounts.
These days are set aside as holidays, so banks don't work and deposit or withdraw money in person. Modern digital banking tools, on the other hand, have made it easy to handle money matters even during the holidays.
People can still access online banking, mobile apps, and digital payment methods like UPI, IMPS, and net banking. This makes it easy for people to do a variety of financial tasks.
Besides the holidays set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), each Indian state also has its own set of festivals and holidays. These state-specific holidays are different in different parts of the country, making the banking holiday calendar even more varied.
Please keep in mind that Indian banks are also closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, as well as Sundays. These are all regular weekly holidays. Here is a full list of all the Indian banking holidays for the year [current year] to help you plan ahead.
