Cannes Confidential (Acorn TV Original) – New Series Premieres Monday, June 26
The Cote d'Azur-based crime drama Cannes Confidential stars Jamie Bamber (Strike Back, Marcella, Battlestar Galactica), Tamara Marthe (Profilage), and French TV drama actor Lucie Lucas (Clem, Porto and Gloria). The relationship between an idealistic, local underdog female cop (Lucas) and an ex-con (Bamber) is the series' main focus.
The two are compelled to work together in an unlikely but surprisingly effective crime-fighting alliance, and in each short episode, they successfully solve a murder. The drama's plot, however, is centered on the protagonist's search for the criminals who falsely accused her father, a local hero police officer who was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.
Lost: Those Who Kill (Acorn TV US Exclusive) – Binge Premieres Monday, June 5
After her most recent case, criminal profiler Louise Bergstein is on edge and suffering from severe insomnia when a Copenhagen couple is brutally murdered outside of their home. She teams up with police detective Frederik Havgaard in her quest to find the murderer.
The case is closed when the baby of Bjrn's sister is abducted and Bjrn is discovered dead, and Louise departs the city for a new beginning in Jutland. All the evidence points to a young man named Bjrn who has a troubled and desperate past. When a new suspect is connected to the killings three years later, she is dragged back onto the case, bringing the horrible truth and old traumas to the surface once more.
