Could people really be able to see into the future, or is this all a fluke?
Top 10 Craziest Prophecies That Came True
1. The Birth of Wi-Fi
Nikola Tesla (July 10, 1856 - January 7, 1943) was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, and mechanical engineer. He is a futurist and is considered one of the most creative and "crazy" scientists in history. All of his designs - about 300 of which are patented - are forward-thinking and that's why he's been called the "Inventor of the 20th Century".
One of Nikola Tesla's oldest and most famous inventions is alternating current (AC). Today, this form of electrical energy is still used to power homes and businesses.

Besides inventions and scientific achievements, he also surprised posterity when he correctly prophesied about the birth of Wi-fi in 1901.
In an interview with the New York Times, Nikola predicted that in the future, the whole world can send messages without wires. Not only that, it's so simple that anyone can carry it and do it by themselves.
Through screens and audio systems, we can talk to others regardless of distance and territorial location, the inventor further predicted.
Nikola's prophecy has come true. In 1973, the first mobile phone was born. And about 20 years later, ie 1991, Wi-fi - wireless network was launched, officially starting an era of technology boom and development.

Not only that, this pair of sisters also made many accurate statements about future medical research achievements and some natural disasters around the globe.

3. The plane carrying Brazilian football team crashed
In March 2016, spiritualist Carlinhos said: “A football team will surely die in a plane crash. Don't forget what I said. This tragedy will happen within a year and a half.”
On November 28, 2016, LAMIA Bolivia's RJ85 aircraft CP-2933 carrying 81 people crashed near the city of Medellin, central Colombia. The plane carrying football club Chapecoense Brazil, killed 19/22 players.
At that time, Carlinhos (real name José Ferreira dos Santos Carlinhos) was 53 years old. In 2014, he became famous for his ability to accurately predict the outcome of many matches at the World Cup. Carlinhos even correctly predicted that in the semi-final, Brazil would lose 1-7 to Germany, and Neymar would suffer a serious injury at the World Cup held in his home country.
4. Great Fire in London
Referring to famous prophets, it is impossible not to mention Michel de Nostredame (born on December 14, 1503, died on July 2, 1566). The 14th-century French prophet made more than 1,000 predictions, and historians must admit that more than half of them have come true.
One of them was the great fire in London. Specifically, Nostredame said: "The city will burn in the year 66".
On May 2, 1666, there was a great fire in London, which lasted for 5 days. The fire destroyed almost the entire area of Old London at that time. About 13,200 houses, nearly 90 churches, 6 chapels, 4 prisons and thousands of other innocent people were turned to ashes.

Notably, Nostradamus even predicted his death, that he would not be able to live past July 1, 1566. “I will die before dawn comes,” he once said. The next morning, his family found him lying dead on the floor.
He even predicted that his grave would be breached. When the diggers lifted the lid of Nostradamus' tomb, they were horrified to find the body holding a metal plate engraved with the words: May 1791. Coinciding with the time they excavated the tomb.
Nostradamus was initially interred in a church in Salon then transferred to the church of Saint Laurent. The tomb of Nostradamus is still kept in France.
Most of the accurate predictions, say the researchers, were the result of random chance or people's subjective interpretations. Consider the example of Nostradamus. The lack of precise details regarding the time and location, as well as the ambiguous language, are the issue. Furthermore, the reader's subjective interpretation determines the meaning of this enigmatic and ambiguous writing style. On top of that, the original meaning "fell off" somewhat due to the re-translation of his notes from Old French from the 16th century into modern languages. |
5. Writer Mark Twain's prediction about his passing
Writer Mark Twain |
Prominent writer Mark Twain (real name Samuel Langhorne Clemens) was born in 1835 and died in 1910. With his unique novels and vivid characters devoted to American literature, Mark Twain deserves to be for the stars. the first of this country's modern literature

He was born in 1835 when Halley's comet appeared and assumed he would die when the comet reappeared. Mark Twain's prophecy has come true. When he died, in 1910, Halley's comet once again flashed across the sky.
Mark Twain also foresaw the death of his brother after a dream. Coincidentally, a few weeks later, his brother was killed in a shipwreck.
6. Ronald Reagan and the Fall of the Berlin Wall
The immensely famous sketch comedy program Laugh In had plenty of political commentary, but it always aimed for laughs rather than accuracy. Even yet, they were able to forecast not just Ronald Reagan's future presidency—who at the time was the governor of California and not exactly a front-runner for the White House—but also the precise year of the Berlin Wall's fall in a piece called "News of the Future." All of this occurred in 1969, more than 20 years before East and West Germany were united.
7. The Two Moons of Mars
More than a hundred years before we learned that Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos, Jonathan Swift made an educated guess about the Red Planet. In his 1726 novel Gulliver's Travels, he wrote about "two lesser stars, or satellites, which revolve about Mars." Even more remarkably, he predicted their exact size and speeds of rotation.
Given that no technology existed yet that would've made Mars visible, how could Swift possibly have known this? There's been a lot of wild speculation, including theories that Swift himself might've been a Martian.
8. World War II
Ferdinand Foch, a general and military strategist from France, wasn't overly pleased with how World War I ended. He actually gave the impression that he was very certain that the supposedly "War to End All Wars" was anything but. Foch, according to Winston Churchill, was quite unhappy that Germany would be largely left intact when he learnt of the Peace Treaty of Versailles and said to Churchill, "There is no peace here. A 20-year armistice has been declared."
He was actually quite close, since World War II started exactly 20 years and 68 days after he predicted it would. (Foch passed away on March 20, 1929, preventing him from witnessing the fulfillment of his prophecy.)

9. The Chicago Cubs Winning the World Series
When the Chicago Cubs finally won a World Series in 2016, after a 107 year drought, almost nobody saw it coming. Nobody, that is, except for a high school student living in California in the early '90s.
Mike Lee, a die-hard Cubs fan and student at Mission Viejo High School, was so confident that he knew when the Cubs would win that he included it under his senior photo in the school's 1993 class yearbook. "Chicago Cubs. 2016," he wrote. "World Champions. You heard it here first." His pal Marcos Meza, a Dodgers fan, remembered the quote all these years later, and when the Cubs took it all in 2016, he shared the prediction with the world. "I thought it was so funny that I never forgot it," Meza says.
10. Titanic tragedy
In 1898, a novel called "Futility, Or The Wreck of the Titan" predicted the tragedy of the Titanic. The author of the novel was American writer Morgan Robertson.
In his novel, Robertson tells how a large ship, the largest ever, was built and how it hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage. The Titan ship sank to the bottom of the ocean. 14 years later, the Titanic repeats the same tragedy as the Titan in Robertson's novel.
