Spurs receive potential transfer boost after midfield target changes agent

Tottenham Hotspur may be set to receive a potential boost in their rumored pursuit of Eduardo Camavinga, with the Rennes midfielder set to change his agent amidst speculation regarding his future.

The teenager exploded onto the scene for Rennes last season, with his performances bringing him to the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe and earning him a call up for Les Blues.

It was reported back in March of this year (Sport) that Tottenham and Liverpool were battling for the 18-year-old’s signature, while Football. London reported in the summer that the youngster was on Spurs’ shopping list.

The midfielder’s current contract with Rennes ends in 2022 and AS now reports that he has parted ways with his former agent.

It is revealed that among the names in the running to become his new representative are Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett, who was instrumental in helping the Lilywhites bring the Welshman back to North London, and Pini Zahavi, who helped to broker the deal that brought Jose Mourinho to Spurs.

So, if one of Barnett or Zahavi is to become Camavinga’s agent, it could do Tottenham’s chances of landing him no harm at all.
