LIVENow in late deal to show Euro 2020 in the Philippines
n an agreement announced ahead of the opening game, the service, which is owned by Aser Ventures, the global investment company of Italian sports and media executive Andrea Radrizzani, will stream all 51 matches from the tournament across all devices, including TVs, mobile phones, tablets and PCs.
In its first entry into the Philippines, LIVENow is offering fans a selection of packages, with a ‘tournament pass’ for every game available for the price of PHP1000 ($21).
There is also a pass for the entire knockout stage (PHP 750), as well as individual passes for the group stage (PHP 150), quarter-finals (PHP 250), semi-finals (PHP 350) and the final (PHP 450).
Viewers will additionally have access to Uefa-produced content, including the official daily highlights programme, which will be available exclusively on LIVENow.
The agreement follows LIVENow’s exclusive deal to show Euro 2020 in Singapore, which was announced in April.
Earlier this week, the streaming service claimed sales of its Euro 2020 tournament passes were up by 65 per cent by the end of May.
Peter Leible, LIVENow head of sports, said: “After the successful launch of LIVENow’s Euro 2020 programming in Singapore, we’ve partnered with Uefa to offer an alternative for the ever-changing needs of the modern football fan, by extending our broadcast rights to the Philippines.
“We’re excited to exclusively offer to the large European expat communities, the opportunity to watch every match in English, and introduce LIVENow to the Philippines”.
In addition to all 51 games there will also be daily highlights and plenty of other exclusive Euros content to enjoy in between the big games.
The deals in Singapore and the Philippines represent LIVENow’s most significant rights acquisitions since launching in August 2020.
