When is the draw for the Champions League quarter-finals?

The draw for the Champions League quarter-finals & the semi-finals will be held on Friday 19 March at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland at 12:00 CET. You can find out when that is in your part of the world.

How to Watch

There are a couple of ways in which you can watch this year's Champions League quarter and semi-final draws.

As they have done previously, UEFA will once again be offering a live stream of the event.

BT Sport, who hold the television rights to the competition this year, will also be broadcasting the draw live on BT Sport 1, which existing customers can also watch on the app or website.

The event will be streamed live on UEFA.com, with coverage starting at 11 am, and you'll also be able to follow live-text coverage with AS English. We’ll begin our build-up from about an hour beforehand, before taking you through the ties as they are pulled out of the hat and bringing you all the post-draw reaction.

How the draw will work

There will be a free draw for the quarter-finals, with ties numbered 1–4 for the semi-final draw that follows. A draw will also be made to determine the 'home' side in the final for administrative reasons.

There are no seedings or country protection. Any restrictions will be announced ahead of the draw.

When are the quarter-finals?

They’re in quick succession next month, played one week and the next. Liverpool plays at home to Aston Villa in between the two ties.

6/7 April

13/14 April

Liverpool only have one game before the first-leg of the quarters, against Arsenal – that’s currently scheduled for Sunday 4 April but could change to the Saturday if the Champions League tie gets planned for Tuesday, 6 April.
