April Fools’ Day—celebrated on April 1 each year—has been celebrated for several centuries by different cultures, though its exact origins remain a mystery. April Fools’ Day traditions include playing hoaxes or practical jokes on others, often yelling “April Fools!” at the end to clue in the subject of the April Fools’ Day prank. Like International Dance Day, International Jazz Day means more than just celebrating jazz music. It was declared in 2011 as a means to highlight the genre’s role in bringing together different people from all cultures. It is also a time to recognize jazz music’s power to promote peace, diversity, and social change. In 2018, St. Petersburg in Russia served as the Global Host City, serving as the venue for an all-star jazz concert directed by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock.

Araw ng Kagitingan is a non-working holiday that is part of a long weekend in the Philippines. World War II veterans parade in different cities in the Philippines on this day. There are small parades in different localities in the Philippines but the Araw ng Kagitingan’s main highlight occurs when the country’s president gives a speech at the Mt Samat shrine, in the Bataan province, to commemorate the heroism of the Filipinos and American troops during the World War II, Timeanddate cited.

Each year, there is a specific theme for World Health Day. The theme for World Health Day 2020 was to support nurses and midwives. WHO chose the year 2020 as the "Year of the Nurse and Midwife" to honour their contribution in making the world a healthier place.

5. World Book Day (April 23)

World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the first Thursday in March. On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK is given a voucher to be spent on books; the event was first celebrated in the United Kingdom in 1995.

6. International Day of Human Space Flight (April 12)

In 2011, the United Nations General Assembly declared April 12 as the International Day of Human Space Flight. It not only commemorates the first human space flight—completed by Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961—it also aims to celebrate the space era of mankind, as well as ensure a peaceful exploration of outer space.
