1. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Spray

Chanel's perfumes are, of course, some of the most classic around - but we particularly love the Mademoiselle version.

Its off-beat mix of orange, jasmine and rose still makes this one of the most mysterious and exciting perfumes to date - but it's the upped dose of Patchouli that's got us well and truly hooked. If ever you’re flagging, but need to pull it out of the bag for a party or big event, wear this. You’ll be able to face anything.

Chances are you know someone that wears Coco Mademoiselle, since its launch in 2001 it has become so popular that it’s immortally detectable on passers by on the street.

2. Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Parfum for Her

Musk, we’ve seen, is a seriously sexy ingredient, which explains why this musk-drenched fragrance is, to paraphrase perfume expert Raymond Chandler, a scent ‘to make a bishop kick a hole in a stained glass window’.

Since its launch in 2003, thousands have fallen under the spell cast by creamy vanilla, heady orange blossom, sultry patchouli and, of course, lashings of sexy musk.

3. French Lover Eau de Parfum

This is intended for men, but on a woman, the notes of vetiver, iris, incense and musk assume a sensual vegtal animality that’s highly spirited and deeply feminine all at the same time.

Consider this your inner Jeanne Moreau, gallivanting through the streets of Paris, bra-less in a man’s jumper and drawn-on moustache, with not one, but two, men at her side.

4. Robert Piguet Bandit eau de parfum

Perfumer Azzi Glasser says a chypre is one of the sexiest, most alluring perfumes you can wear and Bandit is a brilliant, subversive iteration.

The intense combination of exotic leather, spice, oakmoss and musk evokes haute sophistication and naughtiness, ensuring Bandit is the perfect perfume for making mischief and love.

5. Santal 33 - Eau De Parfum

One of the most sought-after scents out there, Le Labo’s beguiling range of perfume, home fragrance and botanical body care has become iconic for its unconventional yet luxurious handmade olfactory offerings.

This Le Labo cult classic, Santal 33 is known for its intoxicating aroma of spicy, leathery, musky notes that give this unisex fragrance its signature addictive allure.

Inspired by the American West and the masculinity of the great American cowboy, this has enough sensuality to intoxicate any man or woman, according to Redonline.

6. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

If you were a teen in the early aughts like I was, then Flowerbomb probably already holds a special place in your heart. I was my first perfume purchase back in, like, 2006, and I still own it today. The sugary gourmand juice has notes of vanilla, patchouli, and jasmine that are sweet, delicious, and totally timeless.

Flowerbomb is an explosive floral bouquet. Unexpected. The essence of thousands of flowers gives rise to an ultra-feminine, delicious and sensual fragrance. A bouquet of tens of cattleyas, hundreds of sambac jasmine, thousands of freesia, and millions of rose petals enriched by an addictive scent of patchouli and vanilla.

This now iconic fragrance was created by the perfumers Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaim and Domitille Berthier, Viktor-rolf wrote.

7. Maison Margiela Replica Under The Lemon Trees

Under The Lemon Tree by Maison Martin Margiela is a fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Under The Lemon Tree was launched in 2018. Top notes are Lime, Petitgrain and Cardamom; middle notes are Green Tea, Mate and Coriander; base notes are White Musk, Cedar and Rock rose. This unisex perfume (although, to be fair, literally anything can be unisex if you want it to be) is the closest you can get to a walk through Palermo, Italy, when the lemon trees are in bloom. But you know, way, way cheaper than the plane ticket. Inspired by a former memory of perfumer Violaine Collas, the bright, sparkling citrus scent has notes of coriander, tea leaves, and white musk.

8. Gucci Guilty Pour Femme

Gucci Guilty Eau de Parfum by Gucci is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance. Gucci Guilty Eau de Parfum was launched in 2019. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Lilac, Violet, Geranium and Rose; base notes are Patchouli and Amber. The iconic Italian house returns to its roots with a modern take on their original Pour Femme perfume, except this time, it’s a bit more intense and bold. Key notes like mandora—a Mediterranean fruit—are rounded out with touches of bergamot and pink pepper for a fun, floral spice. A deep base of patchouli oil allows this scent to stay put all day (or night) without fading into a distant memory, Cosmopolitan cited.

9. Jungle Gardenia

Launched in 1933, Jungle Gardenia features notable hints of greens, bitter orange, sage, gardenia, violet leaf, oakmoss, sandalwood, and countless other aromatics—floral, citrus, and fresh.

With its intuitive design, Jungle Gardenia is ideal for any occasion—from romantic dinners in the night to daytime walks through the park with a good book in tow. The downside for some, including us at times, is that the other odors are overbearing and hide the gardenia scent. Bitter orange is particularly strong, but delightful all the same.

10. Crystal Noir EDT by Versace

Versace took the gardenia scent and elevated it tenfold using warm ginger and fresh amber, thereby creating an effortlessly attractive, confidence-inspiring scent for any occasion.

Crystal Noir’s bottle is also worth a mention. The iconic gardenia flower bud twist is fun, but Versace stepped up their game with an entire gem-like twist in all black. It screams eccentricity and elegance in a single, eye-catching package, Everfumed reported.

11. Daisy EDT by Marc Jacobs

Daisy may feature a generic name, but this scent is anything but. According to its creator, the fruity florals, with keynotes of strawberry and violet leaves, create an “irresistibly feminine” fragrance.

Like other perfumes we’ve mentioned here, the Daisy fragrance features a retro twist bottle, with the white gardenia blossoms, proving a unique and fun experience straight out of the gate.

12. Tom Ford Oud Wood

This perfume has a cult-like following for good reason. The smoky and woodsy blend of oud, sandalwood, and vetiver smell straight-up sexy and mysterious. It's the perfect perfume for date night or going out. Well done, Tom Ford.

Rare. Exotic. Distinctive. One of the most rare, precious, and expensive ingredients in a perfumer's arsenal, oud wood is often burned in the incense filled temples of bhutan. Exotic rose wood and cardamom give way to a smoky blend of rare oud wood, sandalwood and vetiver. Tonka bean and amber add warmth and sensuality, according to Johnlewis.
