Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SV) division creates a number of different vehicles, including high-end luxury (SV Autobiography), extreme off-roading (SVX), and race-inspired performance (SVR). The Land Rover Range Sport Sport SVR boasts a potent engine and dynamic chassis setup.

Under the hood, the SVR sports a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that makes 575 horsepower. That power is sent through the full-time four-wheel drive, allowing it to launch from a standstill, and will do zero to 60 in 4.3 seconds. The SVR stands out with unique 21-inch wheels and an exposed gloss black carbon fiber hood.

9. Mercedes-AMG G 63

The G-Class, a symbol of Mercedes' off-road prowess since 1979, has undergone a complete redesign for 2019. The potent G 63 version now produces 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque from its robust new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, and it also receives an improved suspension. Inside the cabin, the G-Class is every bit as luxurious as you'd expect, with massaging seats, as well as dual 12.3-inch displays that merge into one cohesive unit on the dashboard.

This large, lavish 3-row SUV bears a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, making 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. It can rocket from zero to 60 in 4.1 seconds on the way to a top speed of 174 mph. The GLS also features a world-class cabin that’s loaded with the latest in-car technology, Cars Usnews noted.

Some of its best features include 24-way heated and cooled Hot-Stone Massage seats, a 29-speaker Meridian sound system, deployable tables with a leather finish, and a refrigerator in the rear.

The petrol V8, fitted in both standard and long-wheelbase forms, has been returned to match the Range Rover Sport SVR's outputs. Its power figure rises by 40bhp and the torque figure by 41lb-ft over the standard supercharged V8 petrol used in lesser Ranger Rovers, to a substantial 543bhp and 502lb-ft of torque.

The most obvious change compared with the standard Range Rover is the SVA’s dual rear seats and substantial center console arrangement. The console stores a pair of fold-out aluminum tray tables and has a refrigerated locker that can take two tall glasses and a small bottle, Autocars noted.

3. Lamborghini Urus

This version boasts a V-12 engine making 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque—enough for the SUV to reach a top speed of 190 mph. Pretty much whatever you want is yours. It'll set you back close to $250,000, but Bentley's Mulliner department allows buyers to customize their Bentayga to their exact personal tastes.

With the carry-over mechanicals, the Speed's engine output and performance figures are unchanged, but still monumentally impressive. The twin-turbo 6.0-liter W-12 produces 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, figures that are good enough to shove the Speed from zero to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 mph. Bentley claimed the fastest production SUV title with the current Bentayga Speed, and provided no competitor throws down a Connolly hide gauntlet, that bragging right shouldn't change for the new one, according to Motortrend.
