TikTok has released a list of its Top 10 most-viewed videos of 2022. If you’re under the age of 25, you’re probably already sick of them. If you’re a millennial (or an Instagram Reels user), you’ll be delighted to see that the Corn Kid remix and Louis Theroux’s “Jiggle Jiggle” made the cut. Regardless, let’s take the opportunity to collectively laugh or cringe as we count down this year’s most-viewed videos from the most powerful social media app in the world.

TikTok has always been flooded with the same happy-go-lucky day-in-the-life videos, but our queen Rosalía is here to put a more honest twist on the trend. Her viral video followed her throughout her day, going to the gym, cooking and eating — and she chewed her gum with the perfect deadpan look through it all. Same, Rosalía. Same.
2. The dance – Jiggle Jiggle by Louis Theroux
In March, Duke and Jones uploaded a hilarious remix of documentarian Louis Theroux rapping a cappella in an interview and the internet went wild. 6.6 million videos later, it’s safe to say that the joke has gotten a tad old, and the most-viewed video using the sound is perhaps the best possible reflection of that attitude. The three dancers in the video are completely unamused as they go through the dance moves. We couldn’t relate any harder.
3. The pop star – Lizzo

Lizzo was 2022’s Queen of TikTok.
Her anthem About Damn Time was credited with the post-lockdown dancefloor resurgence, as creators shared their own versions of the artfully simple choreography.
With 26 million TikTok followers, Lizzo was the No. 1 music artist on the platform, and About Damn Time was the app’s No. 4 top-trending song.

4. The influencer – Dylan Mulvaney

TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney looks set to earn more than $1 million this year from promoting teeth-whitening strips, lipstick and other products to her 8.8 million followers, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Industry insiders who broker commercial endorsement deals for TikTok creators say Mulvaney nets at least $100,000 each month from showcasing brands in her hugely popular 'Days of Girlhood' series.
They describe Mulvaney, who is represented by LA-based Creative Artists Agency (CAA), as a savvy operator who likely gets paid $25,000-$50,000 each time she posts about clients like Ulta Beauty, Haus Labs, Crest, Instacart, EOS, and CeraVe.
5. The breakout – Emily Mariko

For a moment, you could not blink without a video of Emily Mariko tracking past your field of vision – the influencer nodding sagely as she happily tucked into another salmon and rice dish.
Mariko became a TikTok superstar courtesy of her easy-to-make recipes and the ASMR-quality of her videos.
Healthy-eating videos are already an incredibly popular genre on the app, but the fresh-faced influencer shot to the top of everyone’s feeds with her trick of putting an ice cube on top of leftover rice.
There was, of course, no wizardry or special alchemy that made Mariko’s food so famous – the food is attractive, as is Mariko, and the ‘farmers’ market only’ vibe of her fridge turned on many followers.

6. The recipe – butter boards
On Sept. 16, TikTok user and recipe developer @justine_snacks, whose real name is Justine Doiron, posted a clip to her feed where she creates a butter board, a dish inspired by a recipe in Josh McFadden’s James Beard Award-winning book “Six Seasons.” In her video, which has since gone mega-viral, Doiron spreads butter across a serving board and adds various flavors atop it.
Doiron explains that McFadden’s butter boards are intended for serving a group of guests who might want a communal feel to their appetizer service. Then she adds flaky salt, lemon zest, herbs, sliced onion, edible petals and finally honey to the aesthetically pleasing offering.
Doiron’s video blew past the margarines, as it were, garnering 7.6 million views and nearly 1 million likes as of this writing. A further 2.7 million watched the same video on Instagram, with 86,000 liking it, inspiring people across social media to create their own versions of the board with their own favorite ingredients to pair with butter.
7. The icon, the legend, and the moment – Corn Kid
It’s corn! A big lump with knobs! You might remember @schmoyoho from their viral “Songify the News” series on YouTube that took off around the 2016 election, but their career got a second wind when they joined TikTok and started posting bite-sized remixes instead of their usual elaborate songs. Between the Corn Kid remix and “Chrissy Wake Up,” it’s safe to say that @schmoyoho completely dominated the TikTok sound space in 2022.
