Another of the most expensive chocolates found in history is this $25,000 chocolate sundae created to promote the New York restaurant Serendipity 3. Along the way, it also set a Guinness Record for Most Expensive Dessert.

It features a 28-cocoa blend with five ounces of edible 23-karat gold, served in a gold goblet lined with white diamonds.

Can you just call up Serendipity 3 and order a Frrrozen Haute Chocolate? Probably not, as the promotions ended years ago, but it remains a legend in the world of expensive chocolate.

3. Golden Speckled Chocolate Egg - $11,107 for one egg

Guinness World Records called this egg the “most expensive non-jeweled chocolate egg,” proving they truly do have a category for everything. Sold at auction for $11,107, the Golden Speckled Egg weighs just over 100 pounds and stands three feet tall and two inches wide.

It was created by seven chocolatiers from the UK and Japan. They used Amedei chocolate, edible gold leaf, and a couture chocolate filling. Additionally, it was decorated with 12 chocolate mini-eggs, 20 chocolate bars, and five flowers made from white chocolate.

Unfortunately, you can’t buy this egg today, as the auction took place in 2012. But there is good news. The proceeds raised from the auction all went to charity.

4. Swarovski Studded Chocolates - $10,000 for 49 pieces

In 2010, Lebanese chocolatier Patchi and department-store-behemoth Harrods teamed up to create these Swarovski Studded Chocolates. Each of the 49 pieces of dark chocolate is studded with Swarovski crystals and dressed in gold and silk rose. They’re then wrapped in Indian silk and placed in a leather box.

The $10,000 chocolate box is no longer available for sale, but world-renown chocolate shop Patchi is still going strong. They offer a wide range of chocolate delicacies, including the ability to build your own chocolate box for around $150.

5. Chocopologie Chocolate Truffle by Fritz Knipschildt - $2,600 per box

The famous chef from Denmark, Fritz Knipschildt, started his own chocolate company which he named, Knipschildt Chocolatier in 1999. Knipschildt created the La Madeline Truffe, which he made using 70% Valrhona dark chocolate and vanilla as the base ingredients. He adds truffle oil, sugar, and heavy cream to make the perfect, smooth and rich chocolate blend that you will ever taste. The only thing is, this chocolate is so luxurious and expensive that you cannot just walk in and buy it from the store. These are made-to-order chocolates and you must eat them within 7 days of purchase for them to be good, however, Knipschildt knows that most people have them consumed within the first couple of hours. These are the most expensive chocolate ever and sell for $2,600.

6. Cadbury Wispa Gold Chocolate Bar - $1,600 for one bar

The world-famous English company Cadbury has a special chocolate bar that is worth 1.600 dollars: The Wispa Gold Chocolate. This one is made with the finest Madagascan cocoa beans and is covered with a thin edible gold leaf. Originally it was sold as a limited edition bar but then they decided to do a relaunch. This Willy Wonka-looking chocolate is considered a collection item and it is even exhibited on Cadbury World, the special company’s museum.
