Three hospitals in Massachusetts have been named as some of the best in the whole country.
Healthgrades just released its list of "America's 250 Best Hospitals" for 2023. It did this by using Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review to measure performance and evaluate hospitals for overall clinical excellence.
According to Healthgrades, patient outcome data for 31 conditions or procedures, such as stroke and heart attack, were looked at for almost every hospital in the country.
On the Healthgrades list, the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, and the Salem Hospital in Salem were all recognized as good places to get medical care.
