The Voice, a reality TV singing competition where celebrity coaches can only judge a contestant simply by their voice, premiered on NBC in April 2011 with host Carson Daly and coaches Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and CeeLo Green. Since then, there have been more than 19 seasons of The Voice.

The Voice 2021 kicks off with the Blind Auditions - the funnest and the purest section of the series for many, which separates the talent based on their vocals alone. And as well as those iconic swiveling chairs, our judges are now armed with a button that lets them block one rival coach from recruiting a specific artist.

It's more competitive than ever before - and you can expect plenty of fireworks with Nick on the hunt for his first ever winning contestant.

Country music icon Blake is king of the judges, having led artists to victory on seven different occasions, most recently in season 18. Kelly, meanwhile, has three triumphs to her name (seasons 14, 15 and 17), with John trailing behind with just one win, from season 16.

When does The Voice season 20 premiere in 2021?

The Voice season 20 will begin airing new episodes on Monday, March 1, and will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary when it returns. That’s right! The Voice comes on tonight!

Blake Shelton

Shelton is the only remaining original coach on The Voice. He begins his 20th season as a seven-time winner, with artists including Todd Tilghman, Sundance Head, Craig Wayne Boyd, Danielle Bradbery, Cassadee Pope, Chloe Kohanski and Jermaine Paul.

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson returns for her seventh season on The Voice. She is a three-time winner with Brynn Cartelli, Chevel Shepherd and Jake Hoot.

John Legend

Season 20 marks John Legend’s fifth time as a coach. He won his first season on the show with Maelyn Jarmon.

Nick Jonas

The youngest Jonas Brother returns for his second stint as a coach on The Voice. He previously judged season 18.

Which coach has won The Voice the most times?

That would be OG Voice judge Blake Shelton, who has seven wins during 19 seasons. Voice judges Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson are tied for second place with three wins each. Coaches Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Usher, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys and John Legend each have one win. CeeLo Green, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas and Shakira have goose eggs in their winner ranking.

How to watch The Voice 2021 in Canada

Canadians can tune into The Voice season 20 at the same time as Americans, so the premiere airs Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.

HOW TO WATCH: LIVESTREAM via fuboTV (Free 7-day trial) as the two-night premiere airs on NBC on Monday at 8 p.m. ET for two hours and on Tuesday at 8 p.m. for one hour.

The first round begins tonight with the Blind Auditions. Then, in a few weeks will be the Battle Rounds, followed by Knockouts before the finalists sing in the Live Performance Shows.

If you’ve never seen “The Voice,” during the Blind Auditions, the coaches blindly listen to a singer and decide whether to hit their button and turn their chair. If they do so, they will become that singer’s coach. However, if more than one coach turns their chair, the singer decides which coach to go with. Each coach can block one other coach during this round.
