All iPhone 15 models have Dynamic Island |
Apple will therefore combine the proximity sensor on Dynamic Island with the iPhone 15 in accordance. When the user is on a call and places the iPhone close to the ear, a feature called proximity sensor disables the screen. This sensor is situated next to Dynamic Island and below the display in the iPhone 14 Pro.
However, Mr. Kuo believes that the proximity sensor will be integrated into Dynamic Island rather than being placed separately in the iPhone 15, essentially leaving the Dynamic Island area unchanged. Additionally, the user won't notice any difference as a result of this. Apple uses this strategy as a way to reduce production costs.
Dynamic Island system on iPhone 15 Series will be different from iPhone 14 Pro |
Apple will modify the sensor's specifications, according to Kuo. Instead of the 1380 mm of the iPhone 14 Pro, it will have a 940 mm proximity sensor. Smaller is not necessarily better in this situation; rather, it offers performance advantages over larger wavelengths.
Each and every iPhone 15 series member will be affected by this change. Other screen-based features, such as Always On and ProMotion, will only be available to Pro subscribers.
