The upcoming year will bring new seasons of shows that should have returned in 2021, as well as lots of new seasons of the most anticipated Netflix shows of the year and some major premieres you won’t want to miss.

From the eagerly awaited Stranger Things season 4 to the debuts of shows like Vikings: Valhalla, Inventing Anna, First Kill, and other new Netflix shows, there’s something for everyone to watch on Netflix in 2022. Some of the titles might even surprise you in February 2022.

-All Of Us Are Dead: Find out how this Korean zombie drama — about a group of students trapped in a school that's overrun with the undead — got made.

-It's always sunny in Philadelphia: Charlie Day comes back with the 15th season of a comedy show.

-Love, Life & Everything in Between: A new show is debuting on Netflix, it is an ode to Valentine's Day in diverse Arab cities. It is a series of dark humor exploring love and relationships.

-1899: A new horror show is coming to the small screen. Helmed by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the creators of Netflix's incredible series, Dark, this new horror series is due to release in 2022.

-Army of the Dead: Lost in Vegas: If anime is your passion you can't miss a horror anime series set in the Zack Snyder Army of the Dead universe.

-The Tinder Swindler: A story of a famous conman who used Tinder to swindle a bunch of unsuspecting women and is already highly anticipated.

-Sweet Magnolias: Season 2 is arriving on Netflix. The show had a jaw-dropping season finale.

-Disenchantment: The creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, adds its fourth season of Disenchantment to Netflix.

Inventing Anna (Limited Series)

Release: February 11

One of our most anticipated limited series coming up to Netflix for the entirety of 2022 let alone February 2022 is Inventing Anna. Julia Garner, most known for her award-winning performance in Ozark, will play the real-life con-artist Anna Delvey.

Alongside Garner will star Anna Chlumsky, Katie Lowes, Laverne Cox, and Alexis Floyd.

Inventing Anna is one of the many titles in development for Netflix by Shonda Rhimes and her production company, Shondaland.

Love is Blind // Season 2

Love is Blind season 2 is coming to Netflix in February 2022, but a release date has not been announced. We should find out more about the season, including the cast, within the next couple of weeks.

Raising Dion Season 2

The series follows the story of a woman named Nicole Reese, who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark (Jordan). The normal dramas of raising a son as a single mom are amplified when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. Nicole must now keep her son's gifts secret with the help of Mark's best friend Pat, and protect Dion from antagonists out to exploit him while figuring out the origin of his abilities.

Countdown (2019) – Horror thriller about a nurse downloading an app that seems to be able to predict when you die.

New Year’s Eve (2011) – Huge ensemble cast comes together for this critically panned rom-com set in New York City. Sees various couples’ lives intertwine on the last day of the year.

Raising Dion (Season 2) N – After first releasing in 2019, we’re finally getting new episodes of the superhero series that will see young Dion face new threats.

That’s My Boy (2012) – Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg star in this comedy about a father and son duo who have been split for years but rekindle their relationship when Todd is getting married.

The Lucky One (2012) – Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling star in this romantic drama about a US Marine returning home after a near-death experience.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) – The second movie in the Michael Bay series of Transformers movies. Starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox and notably was nominated for an Oscar.

Dark Desire (Season 2) N – The second and final season of the Mexican erotic thriller series.

Finding Ola (Season 1) N – New Arabic language comedy-drama series.

Sweet Magnolias // Season 2

Sweet Magnolias season 2 is coming to Netflix on Friday, February 4, 2022. We finally get to find out what happened in that car at the end of season 1. This has the potential to be the biggest new release of the month.

Inventing Anna

Inventing Anna, which stars Ozark's Julia Garner, premieres on February 11. Garner plays Anna Delvey, a con woman who inserted herself into some of the wealthiest social circles in New York City.

Bigbug (2022) N – French sci-fi movie directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It’s set in 2050 and sees humans locked down in a house while an android war is ongoing outside.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022))

Yes, another one! Texas Chainsaw Massacre, starring Sarah Yarkin, Jacob Latimore, Elsie Fisher, and Nell Hudson, comes out on February 18.

Following the trend of classic horror getting rebooted, we’re going to be seeing a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre arrive exclusively on Netflix. It’s being directed by David Blue Garcia and is about a group of teens traveling to Harlow, Texas to start a new business but they disrupt the home of Leatherface.

Space Force (Season 2) – Steve Carrell returns for a second outing as the four-star general Mark Naird leading the newly created Space Force branch of the military.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 1

Release: Feb 25

The new saga begins 100 years after the original series concludes and dramatizes the adventures of the most famous Vikings who ever lived - Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada and the Norman King William the Conqueror (also a Viking descendant). These men and women will blaze new paths as they fight for survival in an ever changing and evolving Europe. This is the explosive next chapter of the Vikings legend.

A romantic comedy movie out of Spain about a woman who is madly in love with her mysterious neighbor resolves to make him fall in love with her.

The movie is directed by Marçal Forés and stars Julio Peña and Pilar Castro.

Love Is Blind: Japan (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix: TBD

Love is Blind is heading East with a Japanese version of the Love is Blind franchise which has seen an American and a Brazillian entry thus far.

Presenting the show will be Takashi Fujii and Yuka Itaya who are dubbed as the navigators for Love is Blind: Japan providing commentary and tracking to see how the social experiment goes on.
