Liverpool will host Manchester City in a crucial top-of-the-table clash at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool are coming into this match on the back of a huge Champions League victory over Porto on Tuesday.
The host’s front line were in fine form as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were amongst the goals in a 5-1 thrashing over the Portuguese side.
Man City however lost to a star-studded Paris Saint-Germain side but did overcome a strong Chelsea defence with a strong performance in their league win last weekend.
Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw against Brentford and will need their defence to improve with the threat of City up top.

Watch Live Liverpool vs Manchester City live stream anywhere in the world using a VPN
Even if you have subscribed to the relevant Manchester United vs Everton live stream rights holders, you won't be able to access them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle. VPNs are a doddle to use and create a private connection between your device and the internet. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.
There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN which offers a 100 per cent risk-free money back guarantee. If you're not happy with the service any time within the first 30 days, then you can cancel with no penalties at all.
ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money back guarantee with its VPN service. You can use it to watch on your mobile, tablet, laptop, TV, games console and more. There's 24/7 customer support and three months free when you sign-up. Try it – you'll be surprised how simple it is.
Watch Live Liverpool vs Manchester City in the UK
The game will be shown live on BT Sport 2 from 7pm.
There are multiple ways to get BT Sport. If you already have BT Broadband, you can add BT TV and Sport to your existing contract from just £15 per month. You can add the ‘Big Sport’ package for £40 per month, which includes all BT Sport and 11 Sky Sports channels via a NOW pass.
To watch the UEFA Champions League 21/22 campaign in the U.K. you'll need BT Sport because it has the rights to all 125 games in the group and knockout stages.
Prices differ hugely depending on whether you already have BT TV and a BT broadband subscription. If you have both, you can add the Sports package for £15/month plus a £20 upfront fee, or go for the £40/month Big Sports package which also includes all of the Sky Sports channels, giving you a total of 160 live streams.
Another option for non-BT subscribers is the BT Sport Monthly Pass (£25), which lets you watch via an app for a fixed time, with no need for a lengthy commitment.
All sounds great, right? But if you're not in the U.K., you can still follow the games by using one of the best VPN services, such as ExpressVPN.

If you prefer, you can build your own package starting with the Sky TV and Netflix combo (£25/month for 18 months at time of writing) and add on the channels that you'd like. For example, if you just wanted to add Sky Sports, then that's currently £20 per month on an 18-month minimum term, and you can add all the BT Sport channels for an extra £27 per month on a 31-day rolling contract.
New customers are usually offered an introductory price – the monthly cost may well go up at the end of the 18-month minimum contract term. If you don't already have Sky, it's also a requirement that you take the base TV package. Sky also notes in its terms and conditions that "prices may go up during your subscription", so be prepared just in case.
Sky has a whopping 11 (Eleven, to go all vidiprinter style for a moment) sports channels. Its offering covers all sorts, from the FA Women's Super League to cricket, motor racing (including Formula 1 and IndyCar), boxing, NBA, golf, rugby league, women's rugby and netball. It also has a rolling news channel, Sky Sports News.
Further football coverage, including EFL games and Scottish football fixtures as well as the German Bundesliga, is usually found on Sky Sports Football.
The primary advantage of NOW membership is that you don't need to have a base Sky package to add your sports subscription onto.
Finally, Virgin Media customers can also take advantage of TV and broadband package options which include Sky Sports.
BT Sport
BT Sport had the rights to just over 50 Premier League fixtures during the 2020/21 campaign, and will also carry coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup until 2024.
Coming up in September and October, you can expect Chelsea v Manchester City (September 25, 12.30), Manchester United v Everton (October 2, 12.30), and Leicester City v Arsenal (October 30, 12.30).
It isn't an exact science, but BT Sport does tend to get a decent number of the Saturday lunchtime fixtures when the games are all divided up. You can also expect to see some 7.45pm kick-offs on Saturdays this season, where teams have played in UEFA's European competitions midweek.
Remember that BT Sport also features coverage from the top flight of French football, Ligue 1, and Italy's top league Serie A. It also holds rights for sports including Moto GP, Premiership Rugby, UFC and WWE as well. And it will also have coverage of the new UEFA Europa Conference League, which will feature Tottenham Hotspur this season.
Here are some of your options: * BT Sport Monthly Pass (£25 per month, contract free and no need to be a BT Broadband customer) * Big Sport – BT's Sport package plus Eurosport 1 and 2, AMC from BT, Sky Sports News, and Sky Sports access via NOW membership (£40/month, 24-month contract and £29.99 upfront) * BT Sport on Sky (Add on to existing Sky package for £29.99/month. Upfront cost is £20 for 12-month contract, and £35 for 1-month rolling contract) |
The BT Sport Pack has four main channels – BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport 3 and BT Sport ESPN. BT Sport has also made a number of feature-length documentaries exclusively available to subscribers.
If you also want BT Broadband, there are a number of further options, all of which you can see and sign up for here. There are options to save on its Sport or Big Sport offerings (as mentioned above, the latter also bundles NOW's Sky Sports membership).
BT now offers more flexibility with a number of its TV packages, which means you can add certain channel packs (including Netflix, NOW and Amazon Prime) and turn them on and off on a month-by-month basis to fit with your budget. Customers on older packages can also switch to the new arrangement without having to wait for their current contract to end.
Amazon Prime Video
Amazon usually has around 20 matches per season under the current rights agreement, and in 2019/20, it secured all of the showpiece Boxing Day fixtures.
No Amazon games have been confirmed yet, but watch this space because over the past couple of seasons, the vast majority of its fixtures have aired in that crucial December/January period, which makes the end of the year perfect time to try out the service or re-subscribe if you've been away for a bit.
Other cool football-related pieces of programming in Amazon's library include All or Nothing: Manchester City, going behind the scenes of their successful 2017/18 season, and Six Dreams, a fly-on-the-wall look at La Liga in Spain. A new series of All or Nothing has been commissioned for 2021/22, following Arsenal.
Amazon also broadcasts sports including the US Open tennis championships, other ATP World Tour tennis events and NFL games, and has an increasingly broad library of sports documentaries, from Andy Murray: Resurfacing to Fernando, the series about double Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso. And you can watch tournaments like the Australian Open via the Eurosport Player add-on.
Amazon Prime (including the Premier League football) is priced at £7.99 per month, although if you've not subscribed before, you can access its services on a 30-day trial period.

Liverpool vs Manchester City: Preview
Liverpool has been having a great season so far and has not lost a single match in this season. They are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 4wins and 2draws. They played one of the most nail biting match this season against Brentford in their previous matchday as both the teams were on top of their game. Although Brentford opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the game, Jota and Salah came with back to back two goals by the 54th minute putting Liverpool 2-1 ahead. But Brentford did not go easy as they equalised soon in the 63rd minute. The game was still not over as Curtis Jones came in with an exceptional rocket goal at the 67th minute to again put Liverpool ahead in the game with 3-2 as the score but Brentford still found their way back and ended up drawing the match at the 82nd minute of the game with 3-3 scoreline.
Manchester City has also been performing exceptionally well in this season as they are not far behind Liverpool and is currently in the 2nd spot in the League table with 4wins, 1draw and 1loss. Manchester City has been giving their everything to defend their title as they won a vital match in their last matchday against Chelsea. The match between Chelsea and Manchester City was going on with both the teams give head to head knock to each other untill in the 53rd minute of the game when Gabriel Jesus found that important goal for Manchester City to put them in front. Chelsea were precise and fast with their attacks but they still were not able to find the net and City ended up bagging 3 points in their name.
Liverpool v Man City: Team News

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s fitness remains the chief concern for Liverpool after he suffered an injury in the draw against Brentford.
The right-back missed the trip to Portugal in midweek and was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Liverpool have no other fresh injury concerns with Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott already ruled out with more serious injuries.
Pep Guardiola will be once again without influential midfielder Ilkay Gundogan after he picked up a thigh problem against Southampton.
The German scored during City’s 4-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield last campaign but is not expected to be back until after the international break.
Oleksandr Zinchenko also remains a major doubt for Sunday’s clash with the Ukrainian missing the club’s last three matches.
But more positively, John Stones returned to the squad for the 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and could start over Aymeric Laporte.
Liverpool vs Man City: Prediction
Man City ran riot in a 4-1 triumph on Merseyside back in February, a statement moment as they went on to ease to Premier League title glory.
Liverpool have scored three or more goals in six straight games for only the third time in club history, though Klopp has faced questions over their defending despite the return of Virgil van Dijk this term.
City, meanwhile, have conceded just once in their opening six Premier League games and that was back on opening day.
You get the feeling that it could be any score when these two attacking powerhouses go head to head, but we’ll plump for an entertaining draw that, as ever, won’t be short on drama and talking points.
Liverpool vs Manchester City: Predicted Lineup
Liverpool:
Alisson will start in the goal.
Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip will continue in the heart of the Reds defence.
Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will have their chances to join their attackers on an overlap.
Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones and Fabinho will be the midfield trio.
The front three will consist of Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Manchester City
Another Brazilian Ederson will have the responsibility to protect the City goal.
Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte will be in the heart of Manchester City’s defence.
Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva will star in the midfield.
Jack Grealish, Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus will complete the front three.
Liverpool vs Manchester City: Head to Head

Liverpool vs Man City Prediction and Odds: Recent Form
Given the poor start to the current campaign, Manchester City fans had hoped to salvage some points against Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League. But City’s near to perfect gameplan against Chelsea worked brilliantly and it is time for the English champions to step on the gas pedal.
Bernardo Silva ran the show at Stamford Bridge as the Portuguese controlled the game from unknown territory. Guardiola showered praises on his one of the most loyal disciples.
”What a performance. Holding midfielder is not his role but he knows exactly how to play it and how to anticipate what is going to happen, with the ball or without the ball. All I want is for Bernardo to be happy, here or anywhere. All I want is his happiness because he’s a guy who deserves the best. You cannot play in this way if you are not happy, it’s impossible. He was an incredible signing for us, because he’s an exceptional person. I’ll never forget the second Premier League we won, with 98 points. He was the best player in England. After that he dropped a little bit, but now he’s back.” |
Guardiola’s fearsome attack will have to deal with the challenge of Virgil van Dijk. The Dutch defender saved one point for the Reds with a last ditch tackle on Brentford forward Ivan Toney who almost had won it for the home side.
The defender has been rock solid since his arrival from Southampton and was instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League triumph. He can pose a serious threat aerially in the opposition box and has a knack for scoring crucial goals for his team.
The defender missed a long period for an injury but is now back at his best and could challenge City’s Premier League credentials in the next match.
Despite Liverpool’s dominance Guardiola’s attention to every little detail could be back to hunt Jurgen Klopp’s side.
