India Assembly Elections: Full List of BJP candidates in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Assam

The party released names of 115 candidates for Kerala, where it will be contesting in 115 out of 140 Assembly seats, 17 names for Assam and 63 candidates for the third and fourth phase of elections in West Bengal.

Kerala Assembly Election 2021 - Full List of BJP candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released the list of its candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Kerala. In Kerala, the BJP will be contesting 115 seats and the rest of 25 seats will be left for four alliance partners. State BJP chief K Surendran will contest from two constituencies – from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod and Konni in Pathanamthitta. KJ Alphons will contest from Kanjirappally Assembly seat. Suresh Gopi will contest from Thrissur. Dr Abdul Salam will be contesting from Tirur seat. Former DGP Jacob Thomas will fight from Irinjalakuda. Dr E Sreedharan, known as metroman, will contest from the Palakkad Assembly constituency. Former state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan will be contesting from Nemom seat.

Actor Suresh Gopi is contesting from Thrissur. Former vice-chancellor of Calicut University Abdul Salam is fielded in Tirur. Former DGP Jacob Thomas will contest from Irinjalakuda and KJ Alphons will contest from Kanjirappally assembly seat, Singh said.

Kerala will vote in single-phase on April 6 and results will be declared on May 2.

West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 - Full List of BJP candidates

On Sunday, when the party released a list of 63 names for the state.

The BJP released a list of 27 candidates for the third phase of West Bengal elections and 36 for the fourth phase.

Babul Supriyo will contest elections from Tollygunge in Kolkata. Locket Chatterjee has been fielded from Chinsurah constituency in Hooghly, while Swapan Dasgupta will contest from Tarkeshwar.

Last week, the BJP had released the first list of 57 candidates for the elections in West Bengal. The party fielded Suvendu Adhikari against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from the crucial Nandigram constituency.

In West Bengal, the BJP has fielded former chief economic adviser to the government Ashok Lahiri from the Alipurduar seat, Union Minister Babul Supriyo from Tollygunge, and Swapan Dasgupta from the Tarakeshwar Assembly segment.

Actor-turned-politician and sitting MP Locket Chatterjee has been fielded from Chunchura and another MP Nishit Parmanik from Dinhata.

Former TMC leader Rajib Banerjee who recently joined BJP has been fielded from Domjur, Rabindranath Bhattacharya has been fielded from Singur, Indranil Das will contest from Kasba and actor Tanushree Chakraborty from Howrah Shyampur.

Also, a number of film personalities have been nominated as candidates in the high-stakes battle for West Bengal.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2021 - Full List of BJP candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released its list of 20 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. At a press conference, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said state president L Murugan will contest from Dharapuram and senior leader H Raja will contest from Karaikudi. “In Tamil Nadu, BJP is contesting as NDA partner and we’ll be contesting in 20 Assembly constituencies spread across all regions of the state,” he said.

Tamil Nadu will vote in single-phase on April 6 and the results will be declared on May 2.

The BJP is contesting the polls with AIADMK, which is contesting on 178 seats. Opinion poll surveys have predicted the return of MK Stalin-led DMK. In 2016, AIADMK had won 136 of 234 it contested while its opposition party DMK had contested 178 but could win 89.

In Assam, BJP will contest on 92 seats while the partner parties will fight on rest of the seats. The saffron party today released the names of 17 candidates for the third phase of elections. Chandra Mohan Patowary will contest from Dharmapur seat.
