How to Convert and Download Audible Audiobooks
|How to convert Audible Audiobooks: Best ways|
Audible is an audiobook service from Amazon, offering the world’s biggest selection of titles ranging from much-loved classics to new releases and original podcasts. Listeners can download or stream their chosen titles with a membership to Audible.
Books may be read aloud by a narrator, the authors themselves, well-known stars or even performed by an audio cast. Many podcasts also have famous hosts – for instance, Michael Caine’s podcast Heist is about famous robberies, and then there’s From the Oasthouse, Alan Partridge’s podcast, which, of course, is read by the East Anglian superstar himself.
How does Audible work?
By signing up to Audible on the standard membership, you receive one new audiobook every month you are a member. You can choose from a range of membership plans and which one you have will determine how many Audible “credits” you receive each month, which can be exchanged for audiobooks on the service.
You can listen to all the Audible Original Podcasts with unlimited streaming and there are also a number of exclusive offers and deals throughout the month, including the “Daily Deals” which offer a different title for up to 80% off each day.
The thing is, Audible doesn’t allow third-party players. In fact, the audiobook files are encrypted and download in a special format called “AAX”. So, if you want to use a third-party audiobook reader, you first need to convert the Audible audiobooks to MP3 format. Once you’ve done that, you can play the converted audiobooks on any device and using any music or MP3 application.
There are two major steps to convert Audible audiobooks to MP3. First, you need to download the Audible audiobook. Second, rip and convert it to MP3. Though sounds complicated, it is pretty easy to do. This is some of the best ways to convert an Audible audiobook file.

In some cases, you may have to click and drag the audiobook's file onto the conversion software's window.
Your audio conversion software may be able to detect audiobooks by default. If so, click the Audiobooks tab and look for your audiobook's file name.
Step 8: Select an output audio format. Once you've added your Audible audiobook's file to the converter, find the conversion section and click your preferred audio format. In most cases, you'll want to use MP3 as the audio format.
- AAC is another commonly used audio format, though fewer platforms will support AAC.
Step 9: Convert your audiobook. Click OK or Convert to begin converting your audiobook's file into an MP3 (or AAC) file. Once the audiobook finishes converting, you'll be able to play it as a standard audio file in virtually any program which supports audio playback.
