Five Nights At Freddy's: Seven little known facts about Toy Bonnie
1. Plays Guitar
Like the original Bonnie, Toy Bonnie plays the guitar in the band and can be seen with his guitar in the Show Room of Five Nights at Freddy's 2. In fact, his guitar seems to be the same one that the original Bonnie played, albeit with a slightly brighter color scheme. Toy Bonnie can be seen with his guitar off stage in Party Room 3. Once he leaves that room, however, the guitar does not go with him and it is unclear what happens to it.
2. Pupils Get Smaller
It is unknown why this happens, but Toy Bonnie's eyes, particularly his pupils and irises, get smaller and smaller the closer he gets to the player. None of the other animatronics do this, and it is said to have some supernatural reasoning.
It is like his eyes contract, like that of an animal's, but, when a light is shined upon them, they remain the same. In the close up of Party Room 4, his eyes can be seen smaller, and, once he is in the Office, they shrink even more.
Apparently, Toy Bonnie is pretty narcissistic. His personality really comes out in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, when he has actual voice lines for the first time. Toy Bonnie expresses that he feels he is the real star of the show, that he is a superstar even more famous than the player character. It seems as though the majority of his dialogue reveals that he mainly cares about popularity.
4. Can't Count
Another line of dialogue in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery shows that Toy Bonnie is kind of inept at counting. He will count out of order when the line comes up, and, due to his childish voice, it seems like this may be a reason why.
Mixed with his high ego, boastful personality, high-pitched voice, and the fact that he cannot properly count, there are many theories that suggest that Toy Bonnie might have the spirit of a child within him.
5. Only Bonnie Has Eyebrows
Toy Bonnie isn't the only character in all of Five Nights at Freddy's to have eyebrows, but he is the only Bonnie variant to have them. His thicker black eyebrows starkly stick out against his bright shiny blue plastic. They give him a ton more emotional range, which is how many players know that he is not intentionally aggressive, but almost seems excited during his jumpscare animation. None of the other Bonnie's have eyebrows like Toy Bonnie, as it might just be an added feature for his face of makeup.
6. Voice Actor Unknown
Toy Bonnie is one of the last animatronics to get a voice actor. He was supposed to be voiced by Stephanie Belinda Quinn in Five Nights at Freddy's: Ultimate Custome Night, but he ended up not speaking at all throughout the whole game.
It is assumed that his voice lines were scrapped, making him the only one of the toy animatronics to not have a voice. In Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, Toy Bonnie has the voice of a boastful child, but, much like Freddy, his voice actor is unlisted and remains a mystery.
7. Toy Bonnie And Bonnie
During Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Bonnie and Toy Bonnie are the only two counterparts that never go into a room together. This is pretty strange, as the two also have the widest deviation from one another in appearance compared to the rest of the toys and their original counterparts.
It seems like maybe there is a reason Toy Bonnie and Bonnie are kept so separate—maybe there is deeper lore about the two counterparts?
|Physical Appearance |
“A glossy plastic Bonnie with green eyes and buck teeth”, the Freddy Files, page 37.
Compared to the other redesigns, Toy Bonnie seems to have undergone the most drastic of changes. He is colored a bright shiny blue, with his belly, muzzle, and insides of his ears colored a pale, powder blue. He has green eyes, magenta eyelids, long eyelashes, and rosy red, blushed cheeks. He also has a white circular tail, which can only be seen when he is crawling through the Right Air Vent. He also has eyebrows, unlike the original Bonnie, and no longer has similarities to Freddy appearance-wise.
Like the other redesigns, he is much smoother in texture compared to the original animatronics. He also has a more modernized appearance, bearing multi-jointed fingers and a hard casing, as opposed to the fabric covers of the originals. Toy Bonnie also sports a red bow tie, black button nose, whisker spots, and buck teeth, unlike his original counterpart, similar to that of a stereotypical rabbit. His eyes also appear articulated, as if he can move them freely. In a paranormal manner, his pupils grow smaller the closer he gets to the player.
It can sometimes be seen that Toy Bonnie's feet are different from his original counterpart, each sporting a triangular shape with three, blocky toes. These features are also shared with the other new animatronics, excluding the Puppet and BB.
Like the original Bonnie, when on stage, Toy Bonnie plays a guitar, which is red and white with a black neck. However, unlike his counterpart, Toy Bonnie can be seen with his guitar while absent from the Show Stage. He can be seen holding his guitar in Party Room 3, though he is not seen with it elsewhere.
Once the old animatronics were scrapped and placed in the Parts/Service Room, Toy Bonnie and the other new models were built to replace them for the entertainment of children when Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has re-opened. He is the guitarist in the band which sings for and entertains children attending the pizzeria during the day.
Jeremy Fitzgerald was now hired to work as the Night Shift Security Guard where he was to stay in the Security Office and he had to use a Freddy Mask, flashlights, and security cameras. The mask would be used to protect himself from the attacking animatronics. Toy Bonnie and the other animatronics now plan to hunt down the new guard and kill him.
Toy Bonnie starts at the Show Stage with the other animatronics. His first move is to Party Room 3, where he can be seen holding his guitar. After, he moves to Party Room 4, and stares at the camera, without his guitar. He then proceeds to Party Room 2 where he crouches for the air vent, preparing to go in it. Finally, he reaches the Office via Right Air Vent.
Once the player sees Toy Bonnie in the vent's blind spot, the player must equip the Freddy Mask before Bonnie appears while the lights flicker to prevent him from killing you. If done correctly, the player will see the Office lights briefly going out while he stares at you, he will then vanish. If failed, this will result in him killing you. He is also dating Toy Chica.
What is Five Nights at Freddy’s?
Five Nights at Freddy’s is a point-and-click, survival-horror game that has taken the gaming world by storm. Having released in August 2014 for PC, the fan-favorite horror series has since then been released across the platforms of Mac, iOS, Android, and even has plans to reach console devices in the future, according to Thegamer.
The popular horror series was developed by Scott Cawthon – a rather unknown Indie developer that focused mainly on creating Christian-themed games. The success of Five Nights at Freddy’s was far from expected as the relatively unknown game rose to fame after a series of Let’s Plays were uploaded by popular YouTuber’s. Markiplier –a YouTuber with over 17 million subscribers– has received just over 58 million views on his first Let’s Play of the series. That is a pretty amazing feat for someone that was just two years ago, an unknown developer.
One of the most impressive things about the franchise is that Scott Cawthon –the sole developer of the series– created five different sequels for the game over the span of just two years! This is almost unheard of in today’s current gaming industry, which is plagued with constant delays.
With just two years passing since the release of the first game in the series, and well over one billion views on YouTube, it is safe to say that the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise has become a household name for the younger generation.
