When is F9: Fast & Furious 9 released?
F9 is now due on June 25 — as a result of Paramount pushing back the release date for Top Gun: Maverick It was formerly May 28, 2021, and then before that it was May 22, 2020. Hopefully, this is the last date it gets, according Tom's Guide.

The official trailer — the only thing left to watch after you down the Fast and Furious movies in order — shows off the returns of Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and the debut of John Cena's character.
It starts with Dom in his garage, and on the farm with Letty and his child, Brian. then, everything goes nuts. We get humvees and explosions. Jordana Brewster and John Cena (who's playing Dom's brother, Jacob). Charlize Theron's Cipher appears to be working with Cena to kill Dom. Then, Helen Mirren appears, for life lesson talk.
Then, everything goes crazy. We can't wait. Oh, and then there's a giant surprise I can't even type.

Plot
Dom has appeared in seven of the eight Fast & Furious installments, including a key cameo in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. As the primary character in the film series, Dom serves as the group's leader that initially focused on crime before focusing on global endeavors. After spending years running from the law and encountering several corrupt figures, Dom and his crew began partnering with high-level government agencies to take down terrorists. What started as a street-racing franchise quickly turned into a full-blown action series. Granted, cars are still heavily featured in the series, with Dom depicted as the crew's best driver.

In F9, Dom will reunite with his younger brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena). Rather than presenting a heartfelt family reunion, Dom's encounter with Jakob will be a tense affair. The brother is working with cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron) to take down Dom. Jakob's existence is already a franchise retcon, seeing as he has never been mentioned in past installments. Instead, The Fast Saga has only introduced Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) as Dom's only sibling. Not only did Mia have a good relationship with her brother since childhood, but she has remained as one of his key supporters. Dom often had to lean on his sister and close allies since childhood, like future wife Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) after his father's death before the events in The Fast and the Furious.

Fast and Furious 9 is really looking forward to offering the audience a theatrical experience and the producers now have approval for release in the Chinese market.
Universal Studios, the movie's distributors, and the producers have however not revealed any specific release date for F9: The Fast Saga in China. The film is to debut in the United States' domestic markets on June 25th, but it is unlikely that it will hit theatres in China on the same day. China is to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party on the first of July. The film producers might refrain from coinciding he release with the event as the government mostly prefer to run local Chinese blockbusters in theatres as part of traditional values.
F9's theatrical release actually comes after it was delayed thrice. The film, which was actually scheduled to release in April 2019, was pushed back to make room for the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off. The film then got an April 2020 release date, which was ultimately met with the pandemic shutdowns. The film was again delayed twice, switching from April 2, 2021 to May 28, 2021, before settling on the current June 25th release date.
