BritBox in July 2024 Full Schedule and Highlights

BritBox represents the best of British television (and movies). A joint venture between the BBC and ITV, BritBox has access to thousands of hours of premium British programming. Here, we take a look at what's coming to the platform in July 2024.

The crime-solving, Vespa-driving nun is back, Baby Reindeer's Martha actress's miniseries, and a strange kind of military operation. All of this and more, are coming to BritBox in July.

BritBox in July 2024 Full Schedule

The Responder, a multi-BAFTA nominated work by Tony Schumacher, a former first responder, and starring Martin Freeman, who won an International Emmy for his performance in the first season, will return to the schedule in July. Season two's brutal realism follows Chris Carson (Freeman) and Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo) as they attempt to reconstruct their lives in their own ways and deal with the trauma of the night officer beat.

Based on the best-selling crime novels of Peter James, John Simm will take the helm of a new season of Grace starting on July 2. Dead Man's Time, Want You Dead, You Are Dead, and Love You Dead have all been adapted this season. On July 16, the critically acclaimed drama KIlling Eve will be added to BritBox's library of contemporary classics.

Grace S4 | North American Premiere, BritBox Original, BritBox Exclusive | 4 x 120’ | Weekly

Series four of the hit detective drama based on Peter James' bestselling novels stars John Simm (Crime) as tenacious Detective Superintendent Roy Grace. Grace and his team uncover a web of ancient grudges in the antiques world in “Dead Man’s Time” and face a case where nothing is as it seems in “Want You Dead.”

In “You Are Dead,” skeletal remains lead to their most disturbing case yet, and in “Love You Dead,” the team must urgently find a woman who may be in danger after a suspected mafia hit while investigating a burglar's gruesome death.

Suspects S5 | New to BritB

Resurring for a fifth season, the highly regarded British crime drama Suspects features the startling murder of D.I. Martha Bellamy (Fay Ripley, Cold Feet). Enthusiastic D.S. Jack Weston (Damien Molony, Crashing) breaks down in tears when he sees the horrific crime scene because it is personal to him.

What will happen when the other police officers find out that they have a rogue officer among them? However, one of the detectives has their own personal agenda. Suspects is a fast-moving, suspenseful detective drama that subverts and innovates the crime genre with its improvised dialogue by the actors.

The focus of this four-part miniseries is a single, gentrified London street and the interwoven lives of a wide range of people who live nearby. Capital is widely acclaimed for being intensely dramatic, hilarious, poignant, colorful, and perceptively observed. It is also incredibly funny and entertaining.

Lovejoy, played by Ian McShane (Deadwood), searches for Tinker (Dudley Sutton, Casualty) and a stolen samurai sword in the final series. The rogue antique dealer prepares to marry Charlotte (Caroline Langrishe, Agatha Raisin).

The Responder S2 | U.S. Premiere, BritBox Original, BritBox Exclusive | 6 x 60’ | 2x weekly

In the second season of The Responder, Martin Freeman (Blank Panther, A Confession) returns to his dark and gritty form. The new series begins six months after the last.

Carson works hard to improve as a police officer and father to Tilly (Romi Hyland-Rylands, For Her Sins). However, the night officer beat trauma persists. His goal is to find a day job and escape.

Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo, Timewasters) is rebuilding her life after her partner muddied her. She starts the season furious with Chris, but after working with several ‘normal’ coppers, she realizes she has more in common with him than she realizes.

Killing Eve is a multi-award-winning drama based on Luke Jennings' Villanelle novellas. Eve (Sandra Oh, Grey's Anatomy) is a bored, smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer who wants to be a spy but works at a desk. As these two smart, obsessed women play cat-and-mouse, Killing Eve defies the spy-action genre.

The hit show returns to reveal a modern police station's inner workings. The series follows dramatic cases in compelling detail with expanded and 24/7 access to units investigating some of the most serious and difficult crimes.

Each story is set against the 24-hour limit on police custody before charging or releasing a suspect. These stories are real but have the intrigue and fascination of a police drama.

In Killing Eve 2, Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh, Grey's Anatomy) deals with the aftermath of stabbing love-drunk psychopath and career assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer, Doctor Foster).
