Chelsea is going head to head with Watford starting on 22 May 2022 at 15:00 UTC at Stamford Bridge stadium, London city, England. The match is a part of the Premier League.
Chelsea played against Watford in 1 matches this season. Currently, Chelsea rank 3rd, while Watford hold 19th position.
Strangely, considering the Premier League is English, you can't watch every EPL game live in the U.K. — instead, a total of 200 games will be streamed live across three services: Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime.
*Sky Sports
Sky Sports has the majority of them, with 128 live games plus huge amounts of supporting coverage including highlights and analysis packages. If you already have a Sky subscription that doesn't include Sports, you'll need to pay £22/month to add those channels. You'll also gain access to coverage in 4K and HDR, so long as you also have an HDR-ready Sky Q box and HLG-compatible TV.
*Now Sports
If you don't want to shell out for a full Sky sub, you could also consider its Now Sports streaming service. This gives you 24-hour access for £9.99 or month-long access for £33.99 but Sky is currently offering a great deal here: you can sign up for six months of access for just £25/month right now. Now Sports is available on virtually every streaming device out there and is a great option if you don't already have Sky.
*BT Sport
Over on BT Sport you'll be able to watch 52 games in the 2021-22 Premier League. Prices differ hugely depending on whether you already have BT TV and a BT broadband subscription. If you have both, you can add the Sports package for £15/month plus a £20 upfront fee, or go for the £40/month Big Sports package which also includes all of the Sky Sports channels, giving you a total of 160 live streams.
Another option for non-BT subscribers is the BT Sport Monthly Pass (£25), which is similar to Now Sports in that it lets you watch via an app for a fixed time.
Finally, 20 games will be shown on Amazon Prime, which is handy if you already have a subscription. And as always, highlights will also be available on the BBC's Match of the Day show, available free-to-air via the BBC iPlayer.

Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

Chelsea vs Watford: Team News
Photo: Sports Brief |
Following their defeat against West Ham in mid-week, Frank Lampard is certain to change things up a bit for the visit of Watford this weekend.
Underperforming defender Antonio Ruidger could be replaced at centre half by Kurt Zouma, while Jorginho, Billy Gilmour, Mason Mount and Olivier Giroud are all pushing to start in midfield and up front respectively.
Marco van Ginkel is still out however, while Fikayo Tomoroi is rated as doubtful.
Chelsea predicted line-up: Arrizabalaga – James, Christensen, Zouma, Azpilicueta – Gilmour, Jorginho, Mount – Willian, Giroud, Pulisic
The Hornets remain without injured trio Gerard Deulofeu, Daryl Janmaat and Isaac Success, meaning there is a good chance Nigel Perason will go with the same XI that lost 3-1 against Southampton a week ago.
Christian Kabasele could be restored to Watford’s backline however.
Watford predicted line-up: Foster – Dawson, Kabasele, Cathcart, Masina – Capoue, Hughes, Doucoure, Sarr, Pereyra – Deeney
Chelsea vs Watford: Predictions & PreviewsChelsea hit a bump in the roadChelsea’s pursuit of a top-four finish hit an unexpected stumbling block in mid-week when they lost 3-2 at West Ham, on what was a dramatic evening’s football in the capital. First and second half strikes from Willian had helped to cancel out Irons’ goals from Tomas Soucke and Michail Antonio, however, with just minutes on the clock and the Blues chasing a winner, substitute Andriy Yarmolenko raced clear on the counter to win it for the hosts. After the last gasp defeat against his former club, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was understandably fuming, though the knock-on effect on the league standings after the loss was as hard hitting as the manager’s critique, leaving the 4th placed Blues just two points clear of Man Utd and Wolves behind them in 5th and 6th position respectively. Chelsea, who won five games on the spin before their shock result at the London Stadium, are just a point off 3rd spot themselves however, and with an FA Cup semi final already in the bank, Lampard can still oversee a hugely positive finish to the 2019/20 campaign. Hornets hoping to rediscover their stingFollowing a six-day rest between games, Watford will hope to have some extra energy to call on for their tough looking trip to Stamford Bridge, though their form since the restart suggests they will struggle to salvage a positive result in West London. Watford came out of the blocks in decent style when they rescued a point at the death at home to out-of-form Leicester, though successive defeats to Burnley and Southampton were a reminder of the uphill task they face to avoid the drop this season. The Hornets in 17th, are still just one point clear of Aston Villa and Bournemouth in 18th and 19th position behind them, and having watched his team win just once in 10 Premier League attempts, Nigel Pearson must be fearing the worst. Chelsea to recover quicklyWith their manager’s words still ringing in their ears after their mid-week mishap, Chelsea will be determined to get straight back into the winning groove against Watford this weekend. The Blues won each of their last three Premier League home games, putting tough opponents Tottenham, Everton and Man City to the sword – and a fixture against relegation candidates Watford should prove an easier test to navigate. Chelsea, carrying a poor record of just one clean sheet from their last 10 Premier League run outs, have priority problems at centre-half to address this summer however and don’t look like keeping anyone out at present, and a Watford attack that plundered goals in 11 of their last 15 top-flight tussles should be able to notch a consolation effort this weekend. Both teams found the net in six of their last seven encounters between Chelsea and Watford, and with the aforementioned factors considered, coupling a home win with a both teams to score market looks excellent value again for Saturday’s game. The Blues got the better of Watford in five of those seven fixtures, and having turned them over 2-1 at Vicarage Road in the reverse Premier League duel between the clubs in November, our correct score predictions forecasts a similar outcome. Two of the wins in Chelsea’s recent three game winning streak at home were secured by 2-1 scorelines, and we’re backing the Blues to replicate that winning margin again here. Key Battle – Antonio Rudiger vs Troy DeeneyGerman centre-half Antonio Rudiger was torn to shreds this week after his poor showing in Chelsea’s unexpected 3-2 loss at West Ham on Wednesday evening. The 27-year-old has probably had more bad games than good in 2020, and Rudiger will have to improve quickly between now and the end of the season to avoid being replaced by Frank Lampard during the transfer window. Watford talisman Troy Deeney has the knowhow and skill-set to ruffle a few of Rudiger’s feathers on Saturday, and while the targetman’s return of one goal in eight appearances is poor, the 32-year-old doesn’t need a run form to make an impact. |
Chelsea vs Watford: Head to Head
Inspecting their most recent head-to-head meetings stretching back to 05/02/2018 shows that Chelsea have won 5 of these and Watford 1, with the tally of drawn matches standing at 0.
A combined sum of 20 goals were scored between the two sides in these games, with 13 for The Blues and 7 coming from The Hornets. That is an average goals per game value of 3.33.
Chelsea
Chelsea enter this game after a 0-0 FA Cup drawn result vs Liverpool.
In that game, Chelsea had 47% possession and 10 attempts at goal with 2 on target. On the other side, Liverpool had 17 attempts on goal with 2 of them on target. The game was won 5-6 by Liverpool on penalties.
Their latest results reveal that much respect should be given to the Chelsea defence. Chelsea have kept it tight, with the total number of goals that have gone in at their end during their past six games standing at 4. With no two games being the same, we must now wait to see whether that pattern will continue on in this game.
Coming into this fixture, Chelsea haven't lost in the league to Watford in their previous 5 matches.
Watford
After a loss in their previous game against Leicester City in Premier League competition, Watford will be aiming to make amends here.
In that game, Watford had 41% possession and 13 shots at goal with 5 on target. The only player on the scoresheet for Watford was João Pedro (6'). For their opponents, Leicester City got 13 attempts on goal with 7 on target. James Maddison (18'), Jamie Vardy (22', 70') and Harvey Barnes (46', 86') scored for Leicester City.
The stats don’t lie, and Watford have been scored against in 5 of their last 6 matches, conceding 15 goals in all. At the back, Watford have not been doing too well.
Going into this contest, Watford are without a win away from home in their last 3 matches in the league.
