The Santa Clause

This is possibly one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time, which sees Tim Allen play the role of a divorced father, who unwittingly kills Santa Claus and ends up taking on the mantle of Santa Claus. I love how the movie plays on fact that Tim Allen’s character doesn’t want to be Santa and over the next year, slowly transforms into a traditional looking Santa. It’s got some daft moments and plenty of humour. Judge Reinhold also has a great role in the movie as the “step-father” who is trying to discredit the ex-husband.
Noelle

Anna Kendrick in a Christmas movie. If that doesn't sell this enough, Bill Hader plays the anxious brother to her bright and sparky Noelle, Santa's daughter and bringer of Christmas spirit to all. When Santa dies, it's Nick Kringle's time to take over the Santa mantle. Instead, he takes off on a reindeer. It's up to Noelle to bring her brother back to the North Pole in time for the big day. Kendrick channels all the charming fish-out-of-water high jinks as she navigates the world south of the pole.
The Christmas Carol

Disney’s animated movie starring Jim Carrey as the classic Scrooge, in this version of the classic Christmas story. There have been many remakes and modern versions of this story, but this one stands out as my favourite Disney version. I love the animation style in this movie and how it allows the movie to explore a more fun adventurous side of the story, plus show a great representation of that period.
Iron Man 3

We're starting with Iron Man 3. Yes, really. This is a Christmas movie, because Marvel published an 1,800-word article telling you it's a Christmas movie. "It's hard to argue with the holiday setting, the gift-giving, the repenting for past mistakes, and Tony wanting to be better -- not just for himself but the people around him, too." The movie is also about Iron Man facing a national terrorism campaign on the United States. Happy holidays!

The classic 1947 version of this holiday tale deserves to be in our list of the best Disney Plus Christmas movies. Macy’s department store in New York City, like many stores, has its own Santa Claus for Christmas. However, the man who has Macy’s Santa gig, Kris Kringle (played by Edmund Gwenn), insists that he’s the real deal. It all comes together in a now-famous court scene, where we find out whether or not Santa Claus is real. Be prepared with some tissues.
