Petition for Amber Heard to be dropped from ‘Aquaman 2’ passes 4.1M signatures

The petition to remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 has surpassed 4 million signatures, specifically 4,139,476 supporters or signatures (May 16, 2022 updated).

If the goal of 4.5 million people agrees, it will be the most supported online petition on the net.

This petition was initiated by Jeanne Larson on Change.org in 2020, after Johnny Depp was fired by Warner Bros. cut the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts film series.

The online boycott campaign attracted a large number of participants when Depp and Heard respectively gave testimony in court in Virginia, USA in late April and early May.

It originally amassed over 2 million signatures in only two weeks.

In the description, the online campaign reads: "Amber Heard has been unmasked by Johnny Depp as a domestic abuser. You should remember that men are victims of violence just like women. This must be recognized. . Let's take action to stop the famous abuser in the entertainment world. Let's do the right thing and remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2."

Meanwhile, the number of people calling for Disney to bring Johnny Depp back to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has exceeded 800,000. This number is growing rapidly.
