Sulfates, silicones, and some alcohols, like isopropyl (rubbing alcohol), are among the ingredients found in many commercial shampoo and conditioner products. These ingredients are not good for your hair because they can dry it out and damage it over time.

You can make your own shampoo from affordable ingredients if you want healthy, shiny hair without any harmful chemicals.

Discover how to create shampoo using only natural ingredients.

Let's examine what a good shampoo should accomplish!

Shampoo can help to clean the hair and scalp by removing dirt and debris. Shampoo is required to remove sebum, dust, and styling products that accumulate on hair over time without being overly harsh or removing healthy lipids.

The outermost layer of the hair's cuticle, which resembles roof tiles, should be closed. The underside surface is protected if the tiles are neatly laid or closed. A quality shampoo will ensure that the cuticle cells are laid flat, shielding the underlying layers from harm.

pH balance for hair: Hair needs a slightly acidic pH to close the cuticle and reduce static electricity, which tangles the hair and causes damage.

All ages can be affected by dandruff. Both an extremely dry and flaky scalp and an extremely oily scalp can be signs of dandruff.
