When is Neymar coming to Fortnite?
Epic Games has confirmed that Brazilian football star Neymar Jr is coming to Fortnite on April 27th – so this week! It has also been revealed that Neymar will have 11 cosmetics – more than the Mandalorian has! He’ll be the first sportsperson to join Fortnite, and it’ll be interesting to see who follows in his studded footsteps. Fingers crossed for Teddy Sheringham to be next.
How to unlock the Neymar Jr Fortnite Skin?
According to the official blog post from Epic Games, the Neymar Jr. Fortnite Skin can be unlocked by players who have bought the Battle Pass. The official blog post states:
"Neymar Jr. can be contained no more! Starting this week on April 27, you can tackle his Battle Pass Quests, allowing you to unlock his Outfit and other items from his high-octane Set. By completing Neymar Jr Quests and Epic-rarity Quests, unlock and unleash his primal forms."
In addition to the Neymar Jr Fortnite Skin, players can unlock a total of 11 unique cosmetic items. As anticipated, Neymar Jr's arrival in Fortnite brings with it a new set of challenges and quests for Fortnite Season 6 and will go live after the 16.30 update.
Fortnite Neymar quests lists
With the Neymar skin comes a series of quests – all centred around the footballing star himself. By completing the quests, which are part of the season 6 battle pass, you will unlock many cool things along the way.
The full breakdown of all the quests is as follows – and just to be clear, the use of the word “soccer” is from Epic Games, not us!
* Talk to an island soccer player: Soccer-loving Characters on the Island. Strike a conversation! Unlocks the Soccer Ball Emote Toy and a Neymar Jr Banner.
* Complete 3 quests from island soccer players: A good player always helps their teammates. Unlocks the Neymar Jr-themed Matador Loading Screen.
* Complete 5 quests from island soccer players: Become a true ace. Unlocks the Neymar Jr Outfit.
* Drop-kick the soccer ball toy 500 meters as Neymar Jr: Fortnite meters, that is. Unlocks the Joia Trophy Back Bling.
* Score a goal with the soccer ball toy as Neymar Jr: You can do this one in your sleep. Unlocks the Jaguar Strike Pickaxe.
* Eliminate 3 opponents as Neymar Jr: “Complete this objective to free the primal self within.” This Quest unlocks the Shhh. Emote, a built-in Emote for Neymar Jr that awakens one of his primal forms.

Think the quests are all you need to do? Incorrect! There are also epic quests to take on and these are part of the Chapter 2 Season 6 Epic Quest line – complete a certain amount and you will unlock the below.

* Stealth Shot Emoticon
* Hang Loose Celebration Emote
* Aerial Acrobat Glider

Fortnite Creative also gets Neymar content

But wait, there’s even more! Fortnite’s Creative mode is getting in on the fun too, with Neymar Jr and PUMA sharing a Creative experience between April 27th and May 4th.
There is a new Paris-themed Welcome Hub made by community creators Kryw and Iscariote, and a new casual combat experience in the “Go Crazy Arena” playlist made by community creators Madmoods and Immature.
The Go Crazy Arena features 8v8 combat and has power-ups and infinite respawns enabled for maximum carnage. Eliminating players earns gold, and that can be used to get bonuses for yourself and other members of your team. Once a team reaches 200 eliminations – they win!
Neymar Jr Fortnite Cup: How to win the custom-designed soccer boots?
Neymar Jr in Fortnite has also brought a whole new tournament for players to compete in Season 6. On 28 April, players will be able to take part in the Neymar Jr Cup for a chance to win a custom-designed soccer boot.
The tournament will be in Solo format and the top player from each will be rewarded with one of these cosmetic items in real life. This feature makes the tournament much more memorable and twice as competitive.
The Neymar Jr Cup in Fortnite will follow the same rules as other tournaments and cash cups.
Players also stand to win the Spinner Takes All emoticons as part of the tournament.

Take part in the Neymar Jr CupAnd last but not least, you can win a custom-designed soccer boot, inspired by Neymar Jr’s primal form, by competing in the Neymar Jr Cup! There are a few of these boots up for grabs, with the top player per region in this Solo tournament scooping the prize. The Neymar Jr Cup takes place on April 28th, with a three-hour window in which you can compete against other players and try to win that boot! You can also win the Spinner Takes All Emoticon by taking part. You can compete in up to 10 matches in your region’s three-hour time window. To get the time for your area, visit the Compete tab in-game and make sure you have Two-Factor Authentication enabled and are above level 30. If you do enter, good luck to you! |
