WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver is going to be the next pay-per-view event from the black and yellow brand. For the first time ever, this event will be a two-night show to go down over April 7th and 8th. The two-night event will swirl between USA Network and Peacock. Now, WWE has booked a huge main event for one of those two nights.
When is TakeOver: Stand & Deliver?
NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver is currently scheduled to take place across Wednesday, April 7th and Thursday, April 8th – emanating from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Tampa, Florida. A mixture of live and virtual fans will be in attendance.
The “main show” will begin at midnight in the UK on each night. However, there will be a ‘Kickoff’ show on for half an hour first from 11pm, which will be shown for FREE on WWE’s YouTube channel, as well as Facebook and Twitter, according to itrwrestling.
How can I watch TakeOver: Stand & Deliver?
The NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Kickoff will also stream at 11:30pm UK time on the WWE Network and Peacock, with the pay-per-view starting immediately after at midnight.
The WWE Network costs £9.99 per month for subscribers and can be cancelled at any time. There is a free tier of the WWE Network available, however, pay-per-views require a paid subscription – which unlocks all content on the Network. If you’re in the US, Peacock has two tiers – one for $4.99 and a premium ad-free version for $9.99.

NXT Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Karrion Kross
Following his NXT Championship defense against Adam Cole this past Wednesday, Finn Balor finally was approached by Karrion Kross. Kross is a former NXT Champion after all and had to drop the title due to injury, so this match was a long time coming. When Kross appeared behind Balor, you could hear the champion say, “What took you so long?” The dominant Kross has still yet to lose in NXT while Balor has become one of the most impressive competitors in all the WWE since regaining the NXT Championship. This should main event night two of the event.
NXT Women’s Championship: Io Shirai (c) vs. Raquel Gonzalez
Io Shirai does not like losing. So much so that even as NXT Women’s Champion, she has gone out of her way to challenge all those who she has not defeated yet. Next up is Raquel Gonzalez, who is one of the very few women over the past year to get a pinfall on the champion. The champion has been nothing short of dominant in her warpath through the talented women’s division, but Gonzalez could be the one who stops Shirai’s title run once and for all. The challenge has been laid down and seems destined to main event night one.
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly
The Undisputed Era is dead and this is what will come from it. Kyle O’Reilly is out for vengeance ever since Adam Cole turned on him at the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. O’Reilly reappeared during Cole’s NXT Championship match and spooked his former friend before laying a beatdown on him in the middle of the ring. Cole says The Undisputed Era isn’t dead until he says so, but O’Reilly may try and beat that thought out of him at TakeOver. This is one of the most anticipated matches in NXT history.
NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships: Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon (c) vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
When the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships were introduced, it was nearly immediate that they changed hands. Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are going to be fighting champions and it seems their first opponents will be The Way‘s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. These titles give the women a chance to really shine and this should prove to be another proof of that.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Unification: Santos Escobar (c) vs. Jordan Devlin (c)
Well, the NXT Cruiserweight Championship will finally have its one champion as the unification of the title is coming. Santos Escobar won the title through a round-robin tournament, while Jordan Devlin has been champion since NXT Worlds Collide in January 2020. Devlin announced that he was on his way to the United States to settle who is the true champion once and for all.
NXT North American Championship: Johnny Gargano (c) vs. Dexter Lumis
Dexter Lumis has been a pain in the side of NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano for weeks now to the point that the champion paid a therapist to convince Austin Theory that he was a bad guy. Lumis has a win over Gargano and it seems only right that he gets his deserving title match at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver.
NXT Tag Team Championships: Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch (c) vs. MSK
MSK wants their NXT Tag Team Championships match that they earned by winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. It would only seem right that they get to take on Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch at the biggest TakeOver ever. However, it would not be too shocking if more teams entered the match.
WALTER defends his NXT United Kingdom Championship
WALTER will be making a statement on NXT UK in the coming week and it seems only right that the NXT United Kingdom Champion defends his championship on the two-night TakeOver event. While he could come over to America to make it work, there’s no reason to believe they can’t record the match from the BT Sport Studio and feature it on the special event. The champion has long deserved to be on a major platform and this seems to be the right time. Considering the problems that Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa are having with Imperium, they could be potential opponents for the champion.
Kay Lee Ray defends her NXT United Kingdom Women’s Championship
The same goes for the historic NXT United Kingdom Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray. She has done everything in her power to make her reign special and is most recently fresh off a win over Joshi legend Meiko Satomura. A rematch between the two would be an excellent championship match to feature Ray in on the card while she also has other potential competitors in both NXT and NXT UK who could take on the challenge, Lastwordonsports predicted.
