Drew McIntyre(c) Vs. Goldberg: WWE Championship Match

Drew McIntyre Vs. Goldberg is official for the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble 2021.

The announcement came right after the news of Drew McIntyre testing positive for COVID-19, but Drew McIntyre assured that he is lucky enough to found no symptoms and will be soon. On January 11, 2021, episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre officially accepted Goldberg's challenge, according to Sacnilk.

As noted, A few weeks ago on Raw, WWE Hall of Famer laid down the challenge to the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as he made his return to WWE Raw. The main event saw a WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee, which was won by Drew McIntyre eventually. After the match, Drew McIntyre took the mic, but he was stopped by the music of returning Goldberg.

Goldberg got into the ring with a face-off, Goldberg went on to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 which was accepted by Drew McIntyre. "Fighting you would be like fighting my own DAD!," Drew McIntyre responded to the challenge.

Winner Prediction: Drew McIntyre via pinfall

Roman Reigns(c) Vs. Kevin Owens: Last Man Standing Match For The WWE Universal Championship

Adam Pearce tricked Roman Reigns and it's actually Kevin Owens vs. Reigns in a Last Man Standing Match at the Royal Rumble.

After Reigns took exception to Pearce’s recent decision making, the WWE official set up a Gauntlet Match to determine the Universal Champion’s next challenger at Royal Rumble.

An impressive display by Shinsuke Nakamura seemingly set The Artist up for a title showdown, as Pearce remained as the final competitor. Reigns and Jey Uso, however, would impose their will and dish out unbelievable punishment to Nakamura and laid a leveled Pearce into place for the pin.

On Friday Night SmackDown 1/15, it was announced that Roman Reigns and Adam Pearce will sign the contract for Universal Title. As noted, Paul Heyman got Adam Pearce to sign a contract for the No DQ match, but Roman Reigns denied saying that he wants a Last Man Standing match.

Later, on that night, Adam Pearce duped Roman Reigns with an injury excuse and then went on to replace Kevin Owens against Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble 2021. As noted, Owens challenged Reigns for his Universal Championship at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs in a TLC match. At TLC, Reigns retained the title against Owens due to the interference of Jey.

Winner Prediction: Roman Reigns

Charlotte Flair & Asuka (c) Vs. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler: WWE Raw Women's Tag team Rematch

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will be up to grab at WWE Royal Rumble 2021.

As Officially announced by WWE that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair & Asuka will defend the titles against Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax in a rematch at Royal Rumble.

As noted it seemed almost unbelievable that there was any tandem that could replace the ruling of Baszler & Nia. That all changed at WWE TLC when Raw Women’s Champion Asuka revealed Charlotte Flair as her surprise partner to lay claim to the gold.

Winner Prediction: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler

Sasha Banks(c) Vs. Carmella: SmackDown Women's Championship Match

It's official from now on, Sasha Banks will put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against non-other than Carmella at Royal Rumble 2021 as Announced on SmackDown.

Sasha Banks has previously defeated Carmella At the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event on December 20, by submission to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship. They are now being rematched at this year's Royal Rumble event.

Winner Prediction: Sasha Banks

Women's Royal Rumble match

There are plenty of viable options to win the match, but none that accomplish what a Belair win would. She's a big-time talent who just needs the right storyline to fully breakthrough to being a main event player. Belair showing off her strength and athleticism again in the Rumble while outlasting every other woman immediately establishes her in the title picture far better than her current awkward rivalry with Bayley. Pick: Bianca Belair wins -- Brookhouse (also Silverstein), as reported by CBS Sports.

Men's Royal Rumble match

If there's one thing WWE loves to do, it gives legends main spots at the biggest PPV events of the year. That's why Goldberg is facing McIntyre, that's why Goldberg held a world title ahead of last year's WrestleMania, that's why The Rock's name was tied to Reigns for WrestleMania before the lack of a sellout live crowd seemed to tank that. Edge wasn't returning to be a full-time talent, but it seemed he was ready to be in big spots throughout the year. If WWE wants to take a big swing on an underdog to face Reigns at WrestleMania, Edge would tick a lot of the boxes they're looking for. Daniel Bryan would also nicely fit the bill, but there's an itch in the back of my mind saying Edge gets the feel-good moment and the Mania slot. Pick: Edge wins -- Brookhouse.

Edge announcing his return to WWE and entry into the Royal Rumble on Raw felt like a wasted surprise moment even if that's what we got last year at this very event, but it did add a level of intrigue to the match because Edge (as predicted above) would make a ton of sense as a Royal Rumble winner and future McIntyre challenger. However, prior to Edge's announcement, I believed that WWE would move in its best possible booking direction, which is putting Bryan over in the match as the WrestleMania challenger of Roman Reigns. There is a ready-made storyline between Bryan and Reigns dating back to 2014 when Bryan made his long-awaited return at the Royal Rumble only to unceremoniously be eliminated as Reigns went on to win the whole thing. Fans revolted, and that moment was the catalyst to continued dissatisfaction with Reigns as a face.

Seven years later, with Reigns now a heel, WWE can easily reach back and play off that storyline. We saw interactions between Bryan, Reigns and Jey Uso a couple of months ago, and I believe those were planting the seeds for the Road to WrestleMania. There are other legitimate possibilities to win this match, but Bryan makes the most sense by far. He could still earn a shot at Reigns through the Elimination Chamber, but why waste the perfect storyline? Pick: Daniel Bryan wins -- Silverstein.

Confirmed entrants (21/30 confirmed):

Daniel Bryan

Bobby Lashley

Randy Orton (#1 entrant)

AJ Styles

The Miz

Jey Uso

Jeff Hardy

Sami Zayn

Dolph Ziggler

Shinsuke Nakamura

Big E

John Morrison

Mustafa Ali

Edge (#2 entrant)

King Corbin

Rey Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio

Braun Strowman

Rumored entrants:

Sgt Slaughter

John Cena

Brock Lesnar

Marty Scurll

With a load of top-level talent in the Rumble and nine names TBC on the eve of the match, this really feels like it could be anyone.

Despite being in at #2, there's a lot of money and fan hope behind Edge. Then there's the rising star that is Mustafa Ali.

Could an unannounced entrant like John Cena or Brock Lesnar shock everyone?

We're going to plum for the first man who announced for the match: Daniel Bryan to do what many expected ahead of WMXXX and win and storm his way to WrestleMania.

PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan
