What is and How much the Trump Digital Trading Card?

Trump revealed that he was unveiling his own non-fungible token (NFT) as the big news.

On Thursday, Trump disclosed the news he had been teasing on his social media platform, Truth Social, declaring that his "official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card Collection is here!"

The Trump Digital Trading Cards feature images of the president in a style similar to collectible baseball cards. The tokens, minted on Polygon, cost $99 and can be purchased with ether (ETH) or in fiat currency.

‘My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here!’ the ex-president wrote on Truth Social on Thursday morning.

‘These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting.’

Former First Lady Melania Trump also released her NFT collection a year ago. He sold them using the Solana cryptocurrency, which has since dropped in value from $180 to $13. Donald Trump is accepting credit card payments and Ethereum for his own NFTs.

“These digital trading cards are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign,” the site continues.

Donald Trump fans baffled as he releases new NFT ‘superman’ trading cards after teasing ‘major announcement’

Some of the NFTs show Trump as a superhero, an astronaut, on a football field and as an American cowboy.

Trump said his trading cards ‘would make a great Christmas gift’ and urged fans, ‘Don’t wait’.

‘They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!’

The customers are prompted to choose how many Trump Trading Cards they want to purchase. The pop-up promotes a guaranteed ticket to a gala dinner with Trump for purchasing 45 NFTs at once, as seen in the screenshot below. This would cost a customer $4455.

Collectors who purchase one of the digital trading cards will be automatically entered into a "sweepstakes" to receive experiences with Trump, including a zoom call, a dinner in Miami or a cocktail hour at Mar-a-Lago. The trading cards will have rarity traits from one-of-ones to "2, 5, 7, or 10 copies. No Trump Digital Trading Card will have more than 20 copies in existence" according to the site.

In the immediate aftermath of his announcement, shares in Digital World Acquisition Corp., the investment vehicle set to take Trump’s media company public, fell by more than 6% after rising the day before in anticipation of the announcement.

The NFT craze may be over, but that isn’t stopping former President Donald Trump from selling his own non-fungible tokens to supporters.

Trump - End of the Road to 2024 Campaign

The former president continues to sink to new lows in the eyes of the American public, leaving his fanatics stumped by his collectible digital trading cards priced at $99 each.

Twitter users quickly ripped Trump's announcement calling it the "end of the road" for the sole 2024 presidential candidate.

"Trump's 'big' announcement being Trump superhero trading cards is just incredible," another baffled spectator tweeted.

Trump last said he would make a big announcement a month ago. That was the official launch of his 2024 campaign, which he put forth before a crowd of supporters at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

He entered the race as several Republican candidates he endorsed in high profile races in the midterm elections lost to their Democratic opponents. Some GOP members have blamed Trump for the losses. Additionally, new polling has showed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with an early lead over Trump among Republican primary voters.

None of the money is going to the Trump campaign. NFT INT LLC said that it licensed the former president’s name and likeness from CIC Digital Inc. for the card sale.
