It is France against Switzerland in the EURO 2020 Round of 16. National Arena in Bucharest, Romania, will be the venue of yet another matchup between these two sides at major international tournaments. They’ve met at the last EURO, at the 2014 World Cup, and in the 2006 World Cup as well, so we might say without any hesitation that we have one pretty exciting rivalry here. France is a massive favorite, but know that the Swiss side is very problematic for any rival. After all, they wouldn’t be No.13 in the FIFA rankings if there isn’t any quality in their roster.
France vs Switzerland: Kick-off time
France vs Switzerland is scheduled at 9pm, 28 June, in Bucharest, Romania.

PredictionFrance is the absolute favorite, as we already said. Despite them being a bit slower and without the expected energy, they should beat Switzerland who is a solid unit but far from the Gauls’ level. Deschamps has superstars at each position which couldn’t be told for his counterpart on the other side, Vladimir Petkovic. So our final pick here is France to win. |

ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN offers a sturdy combination of military-grade encryption coupled with reliable speeds and efficient connections. The design is clean and minimalist and the service works without any fuss.
ExpressVPN offers possible connections to over 3,000 servers spread across 94 countries including some in Malaysia. It’s an ideal choice for foreign expatriates living in the country as well as local residents trying to unlock local content.
The company has a stated policy of not storing any traffic logs whatsoever. However, there is some metadata retention – specifically the date (not time) of connection, choice of server location, and total bandwidth used.
It’s important to note that your individual IP address won’t be logged so there’s no way of your web activity being traced back to you. At the same time, it’s possible to sign up via a burner email account and pay with Bitcoin to maintain anonymity.
CyberGhost
CyberGhost is a recommended choice for beginners looking for a fast, reliable connection with a simple interface and varied selection of servers.
The company is, however, going through some transitions which might affect its terms of use. At the moment it insists that it doesn’t store user logs or data but it was recently acquired by an Israeli company so that might change the scenario. We’ll update the article if we notice anything on this front.
There are over 5,700 servers spread across 90 countries including 10 servers in Malaysia.
Apps are available for both Android and iOS as well as desktop support for Windows, MacOS and Linux.
IPVanish
IPVanish checks all the boxes when it comes to a speedy VPN that’s also mindful of maintaining user privacy and anonymity.
The only time it stores any details is when an account is registered for the first time. After that your activity will be hidden – this includes things like session history and choice of servers.
IPVanish uses 256-bit encryption on the OpenVPN protocol by default, SHA512 authentication, and a DHE-RSA 2,048 key exchange with perfect forward secrecy. What this means is that even if your account is compromised, it’s impossible for hackers to decrypt past data to glean your internet history.
There’s an internet kill switch included which means the company will temporarily block all traffic to and from your device if the connection drops. Servers are optimized for speed and stability – there’s over 1,300 of them spread across 75 locations worldwide, including two in Malaysia. That means a suitable connection isn’t far from reach.
Betting tipsFrance don’t like to do things comfortably at the moment do they? Their opening Euro 2016 match against Romania saw them dominate the game, but a silly penalty resulted in the Romanians bagging an equaliser and making things extraordinarily difficult for the host nation. However, Dimitri Payet was on hand to score a stunner of a winner in the closing stages of the game. Switzerland have been anything but convincing. They opened the tournament with a hard fought 1-0 win over Albania, with the only goal of the game coming from an early goalkeeping error that allowed Fabian Schar to head in the opener. However, despite playing almost an hour with an additional man thanks to Lorik Cana’s red card, Switzerland just couldn’t find any comfort against Albania. The underdogs could have levelled things up as well, and Switzerland, in the end, were quite fortunate to come away with all three points considering their disappointing performance. They weren’t so fortunate against Romania. The Swiss missed a catalogue of early chances, mainly thanks to Haris Seferovic, before giving away a penalty which was dispatched by Bogdan Stancu. Switzerland did dominate the game to be fair to them, but it wasn’t until the 57th minute that Admir Mehmedi finally put the ball in the net with an unstoppable strike. Neither team could find a winner though and had to settle for a point. France, although the top spot would be secured with a draw, will want to finish with the maximum points and put a true marker on the tournament. Switzerland should be a little more enterprising in their attacking play than Albania and Romania too, which will give France a lot more space in the final third. We saw what this can result in in the final minute against Albania, when a desperate Albania side pushed forward only to see the rapid France counter attack finish the game off. I’m fully expecting France to get the win on Sunday, and odds of 19/20 for this outcome look exceptionally good value considering the talents they possess and Switzerland’s poor showing so far. I’m going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at huge odds of 16/1 as well. |
