Video: The Terrifying Moment Terrorist Rammed Past Bourbon Street Barricade
The rampage claimed the lives of 10 people and left 35 others injured.
The video, obtained by Fox 8 New Orleans, shows Shamsud Jabbar’s white Ford F-150 Lightning, bearing Texas license plates and flying an ISIS flag, creeping through Canal Street traffic. Moments later, the truck takes a sharp turn onto Bourbon Street and accelerates rapidly.
In the footage, the electric truck’s tires can be heard screeching as it speeds down the crowded street, narrowly missing a police vehicle before plowing into groups of pedestrians gathered at the street corner. Chaos erupts as bystanders scatter in all directions.
Sirens blare within seconds as police respond to the attack. Jabbar manages to cover nearly two blocks of the busy street before colliding with a construction crane parked in the roadway. The crash brings the truck to a halt, but the violence doesn’t end there.

According to police reports, Jabbar engaged in a shootout with responding officers moments after exiting the vehicle. The video does not capture the firefight, but officials confirmed that Jabbar was killed in the exchange. Two officers were injured but are expected to recover.
The presence of an ISIS flag on the truck, combined with Jabbar’s deliberate actions, has led the FBI to classify the incident as a potential terrorist attack. Investigators are also examining improvised explosive devices found inside the truck, along with firearms recovered from the scene.
This shocking footage underscores the calculated nature of the attack and has become a critical piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to comb through Jabbar’s background and connections to determine whether he acted alone or had accomplices.
