Daily Retail Gas Prices in the U.S
As Americans returned to work after the Memorial Day weekend, average gas prices jumped to new records each day, reaching more than $6.25 on Saturday (June 4). That's up from $4.19 a month ago and $3.04 during the same period last year, according to AAA.
US Retail Gas Price is at a current level of 4.761, up from 4.694 last week and up from 3.112 one year ago. This is a change of 0.70% from last week and 51.90% from one year ago.

Which state has the highest gas prices?
Take the handful of locations where a gallon of regular fuel now costs as much as or more than the federal minimum wage of $7.25. t's a painful threshold that prices at the pump have reached at seven stations, all in California.
On average, California drivers are paying more for gas than drivers in any other state — an average of $6.21 a gallon as of June 4, compared with the national average of $4.71 a gallon, according to AAA.

Indiana (+33 cents), Ohio (+31 cents), Illinois (+30 cents), Kentucky (+26 cents), Wisconsin (+26 cents), Michigan (+24 cents), Colorado (+21 cents), New Mexico (+19 cents), Nebraska (+18 cents) and Minnesota (+18 cents).

It is forecasted that in the coming days, gas prices in the US will not be able to cool down when the price stabilization measures of the Biden administration have not been effective.
The Biden administration has released millions of barrels of oil from the nation’s strategic petroleum reserve and suspended a federal rule preventing the sale of higher ethanol blend gas to try to ease the price pressure. Democratic lawmakers have touted measures passed in this the fiscal 2023 budget to help residents amid rising inflation.
Still, the measure only stalled the increase and did not reduce the state’s tax on motor fuel which is used to fun infrastructure projects.
And Republican lawmakers have criticized the measures for not doing enough to help residents.
