1. Millions of Jellyfish Disappeared
Located on the island of Eil Malk in Palau, Jellyfish Lake is a seawater lake connected to the oceans through a network of cracks and tunnels. Every day, millions of jellyfish move into the lake, but in the years 1998 to 2000, it was impossible to find any jellyfish here.
There are many theories about the cause of this phenomenon, but scientists have yet to find a satisfactory answer.
Where did the jellyfish go?
During a prolonged drought in 2016 caused by an El Niño event, the golden jellyfish medusas disappeared from the lake due to abnormal water conditions, such as increased temperature and salinity. The jellyfish have two life cycles. The first is as a small, 2 mm asexual polyp living on the wall of the lake. The second is as the aforementioned and familiar medusas we see floating in the lake. Fortunately, in the polyp stage, the jellyfish are quite hardy. These were able to survive the El Niño event to produce more medusas and bring the lake back.
Jellyfish Lake is one of Palau’s primary tourist attractions. Based on its ongoing recovery, the Palau government has reopened the lake for daily tours. Visitors can once again experience this amazing place and snorkel among millions of harmless jellyfish. Both the government and tour agencies are hopeful that the lake will continue to rebound to its pre-El Niño numbers of 5 to 7 million jellyfish.
2. Round Ice
Round ice, also known as ice disc or ice pan, is a very rare natural phenomenon that occurs when water moves slowly at freezing temperatures.
Scientists don't know exactly how these ice discs form, but it's possible that they form in eddies where thin sheets of ice spin and gradually stick together. The diameter of the circle can vary greatly from just a few feet to 50 feet (more than 15 meters).
3. Gigantic Hurricane Spotted on Saturn
In 2013, a massive storm was detected on Saturn's surface by a NASA spacecraft orbiting the planet. The eye of the storm was about 1,250 miles (2,000 km) in diameter with a cloud-like speed of 530 kilometers per hour.
On Earth, storms are formed by warm currents rising from the ocean, but on Saturn there are no seas. Therefore, the cause of creating such a giant storm cannot be explained.
4. Animal Rain
What is animal rain phenomenon?
The rare animal rain phenomenon occurs when small water animals like crabs, frogs and fishes are swept into waterspouts. Such incidents have been recorded several times in many countries across the globe.
First occurrence of animal rain phenomenon
The origins of animal rain phenomenon have evolved infrequently in the years gone by. The occurrence was first reported in the first century AD when the Roman naturalist Pliny the Elder documented storms of fish and frogs.
There have been many strange recorded cases of animals falling from the sky. In the summer of 2000 in Ethiopia, millions of fish, both living and dead, poured down like a downpour that annoyed the indigenous people.
Most of the "animal rains" are attributed to tornadoes or large storms that are capable of sucking water from rivers with large schools of fish as victims.
However, this hypothesis still challenges the scientific community because almost every rain like this is unique to only one type of animal such as warblers, frogs or birds. It seems that this phenomenon is not spontaneously caused by nature.
5. The Land of Silence
The desert area of Bolson de Mapimi, Mexico is known as a silent land with many mysterious phenomena related to radio waves. In 1970, the US military base in Utah launched a missile test, but it immediately deviated and crashed into the desert.
It is said that the rocket was contaminated with radiation. It is said that not a single radio, TV, shortwave, satellite signal can enter the area. Many yellow humanoid creatures have also been reported in the area.
6. Cat Meow
Cat meows rank among the most mysterious sounds the world has ever known. Science can't figure out how they use this sound because cats often create the sound "meow" regardless of whether they are petted, hungry or scared, even at birth.
The examples of what cats commonly try to tell you:
Short meow: This is a greeting or “hello” from your furry friend. Multiple short meows in a row aren’t a cause for concern; it just means your cat is excited to see you.
Mid-pitched meow: usually a plea for food or water.
Long, drawn out meow: a persistent demand from your cat. They want something, and you haven’t given it to them quite yet.
Low-pitched meow: signals a complaint, like displeasure or discomfort. If this meow is loud, it’s an urgent plea for something your cat needs.
High-pitched yelp: Your cat is experiencing pain, anger or fear and is trying to tell you.
Chattering: could mean your cat is excited but could also be expressing anxiety or frustration.
Chirrup: sounds like a mix between a meow and a purr and is a greeting often used by a mother cat to call her kittens.
Do cats cry?
In some cases, a cat's meow is not something to be worried about, but in others, your furry friend may be calling for help. Cats do not cry tears when they are sad or in pain. However, cats will vocalize their discomfort by meowing, yowling, hissing or even growling.
7. Origin of the Universe
In the modern world, the Big Bang theory is the cosmological model that explains the birth of the universe from a singularity. It says that at a time about 14 billion years ago, space was compressed in a single point after which the universe expanded at the speed of light.
However, this theory does not provide any explanation for the period before the Big Bang, what existed in the beginning remains the most enigmatic question today.

8. The Stones Move by Themselves
Death Valley is a long, narrow valley in the eastern region of the Mojave Desert, California. This is also the land with the lowest terrain, the driest and hottest climate in North America.
Prominent here is a large, dry lake with rocks (up to 320kg) capable of moving on their own and leaving behind long trails on the cracked ground.
Many theories have been put forward to explain the movement of rocks such as due to the influence of magnetic fields, whirlwinds, slippery algae, thin ice or even the involvement of extraterrestrial beings. Soil.
However, the phenomenon of moving stones in the area of the valley of death has remained a mysterious problem that has not been answered for many years.
