1. Bridgerton

Listen, if "romantic" means "sexy AF," then Bridgerton is the show for you. It's the first Netflix series from Shonda Rhimes, a regency-era romance following the romantic exploits of the Bridgerton family in early 18th century London. It's based on a series of romance novels by Julia Quinn, and the first season follows a steamy romance between eldest Bridgerton daughter Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and the smokin' hot Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Their chemistry is electric, and while the first half of the season is a lot of longing glances and chaste flirting, the second half is essentially softcore sex scenes. Don't watch it with your mom, according to Collider.

2. The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries is an American supernatural teen drama television series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the popular book series of the same name written by L. J. Smith. The series premiered on The CW on September 10, 2009, and concluded on March 10, 2017, having aired 171 episodes over eight seasons.

The pilot episode attracted the largest audience for The CW of any series premiere since the network began in 2006; the first season averaged 3.60 million viewers. It was the most-watched series on the network before being supplanted by Arrow. The show has received numerous award nominations, winning four People's Choice Awards and many Teen Choice Awards, Ranker reported.

3. The Bachelorette

Ah, the OG reality dating show, The Bachelorette. Unfortunately, the series that follows one lucky new girl as she is courted by 25 handsome men is not binge-watchable in its entirety on Netflix, but you can watch one of the more original bachelorettes, Ali Fedotowsky, as she falls in love and navigates the minefield of masculine competitiveness along the way, Decider cited.

4. Outlander

Outlander is about as romantic and steamy as one show can get. Based on the novel of the same name, Outlander centers on Claire Randall, a married former WWII nurse who finds herself transported back in time to 1700s Scotland, where she meets and falls in love with a dashing Highland warrior. This sci-fi historical romantic drama (wow, a lot of hats!) follows time-crossed lovers as they make(out) their way through different periods in history—steaming up the primitive rooms in colonial America to making love in forest dwellings during the Jacobite rebellion. I would even pose Outlander’s romantic scenes still beat out the ones we’ve been obsessing over in Bridgerton!

5. Love Is Blind

Undoubtedly one of the hottest shows of the year so far, the reality show Love Is Blind works to see if love is, in fact, blind. A group of singles is put into rooms to talk to potential love interests without ever seeing them. If a connection is made, they propose and only then are they able to see each other. It's a wild ride, to say the least, PopSugar noted.

6. Jane the Virgin

For those jaded by the concept of love, what could be a more perfect show to watch during this month than a satirical telenovela? But watch out, because while Jane the Virgin is just that, it sneaks up on you as a true romantic drama series that will hit you at your core. It centers on the titular character, Jane Villanueva: a Venezuelan-American young woman whose religious convictions have made her vow to stay a virgin until marriage. But her plan to stay pure until she marries her detective boyfriend is spoiled when a doctor mistakenly artificially inseminates her during what was supposed to be a routine OBGYN checkup. To make matters worse, the biological father is a married man, a former playboy, a cancer survivor who not only is her new boss but is also her former teenage crush. How much more hysterically-dramatic can it get? Relish in all the telenovela-type drama in Jane the Virgin.

Gilmore Girls is an American comedy-drama television series, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. The show debuted on October 5, 2000, on The WB and became a flagship series for the network. Gilmore Girls originally ran for seven seasons, the final season moving to The CW, and ending its run on May 15, 2007.

Television critics praised Gilmore Girls for its witty dialogue, cross-generational appeal, and effective mix of humor and drama. It never drew large ratings but was a relative success for The WB, peaking during season five as the network's second-most-popular show. The series has been in daily syndication since 2004, while a growing and dedicated fandom has led to its status as a cult classic. Since going off the air, Gilmore Girls has been cited in TV (The Book) and Time magazine as one of the 100 greatest television shows of all time. In 2016, the main cast and Sherman-Palladino returned for a four-part miniseries revival titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which streamed on Netflix and later aired on The CW.

Netflix is taking us back to Capeside! It's been over 20 years since Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), Katie Holmes (Joey Potter), Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter), and Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley) first graced the TV screen together, but fans will forever treasure the torrid romances, musical moments, heartbreak, and "Creek-speak" that the series gave us for six seasons. Well, in Too Hot to Handle, that could be further from the truth. This Netflix reality dating show follows hot singles as they mingle on the shores of paradise. However, if they want to win the $100,000 grand prize, they have to give up sex. Gasp! Social distancing is taken to a whole new level in Too Hot to Handle.

Sex and the City creator Darren Star has returned to the dramedy genre with his latest Netflix-original series, Emily in Paris. Starring Lily Collins, the new show centers around a young woman named Emily (duh) who moves to Paris (again, duh) when her company is bought by a French corporation. With living a new hometown such as Paris, Emily is bound to experience new adventures, including figuring out the French working strategy, making new friends, and — of course — falling in love a few times. They don’t call it “The City of Love” for nothing!
