Because football clubs value their history, supporters are always cautious when their team is ready to undergo internal reform or alter its name. Some teams' supporters treasure the fact that their team was one of the original participants in a certain nation, league, or championship.

Conversely, football is constantly growing, changing, and developing due to the formation of new teams; as a result, some clubs are very new, while others have a rich and lengthy history.

Football is a game about customs and the antiquated way of doing things. It is a ponderous, slow-moving sport that takes time to adapt to contemporary ideas. The authorities have always been hesitant to incorporate new elements into the game, such as technology, for this reason.

Because of this, teams take great pride in their history, commemorating centennials and bragging about having contributed to the founding of the Football League.

Despite being the newest, those teams have made some statements in the Premier League and EFL.
