As of February 2023, with a fortune of $82 billion, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers - heiress of cosmetics company L'Oréal - is the richest woman in the world.
In the list of 2,668 billionaires that Forbes tracks, only about 327 are female billionaires, of which 226 are heirs, including the 3 richest women in the world who are L'Oréal heiress Francoise. Bettencourt Meyers, Walmart heiress Alice Walton and Julia Koch - inherited shares of Koch Industries when her husband passed away in 2019.

The granddaughter of L'Oréal Eugene Schueller, the founder of the world-famous cosmetics company, Francoise Meyers is the heir to the cosmetics company. She turns 70 this year, but she has held a position on the board of directors for a long time since 1997.
In 2017, she became the reigning Queen of L'Oreal of France when her mother Liliane Bettencourt (when she turned 70). (also the richest woman in the world) died at the age of 94. She and her family now hold a 33% stake in this cosmetics company.
2.Julia Koch: $59.1 billion

Julia Koch is the widow of philanthropist David Koch. After the death of her husband, she and her children owned a 42% stake in Koch Industries - the second largest private company in the US. David's brother Charles Koch is currently the chairman of Koch Industries and also owns 42% of the shares.

She is the only daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton. She was also once the richest woman in the world in 2020, but lost her position to Bettencourt Meyers. She and her brothers currently own a 50% stake in Walmart. However, she does not directly manage the business here, but instead runs the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in her hometown of Arkansas.
